Eat here and meet the owner

Small place off the road/ close the to our hotel. Great prices and good food. Down home barbeque with all the sides. I loved the sauce and talking to Ms. Sue, the . owner who says she is there everyday. Opened in 1952 with pictures of Mr. Joe and Ms Sue all over the wall. I don't think anything... read more

I've been there quite a few times and every time the food is delicious!!! The place is admittedly run down a bit, but once you talk to the owner, Mrs. Cobb, and get the back story, you'll find the place charming and homey. Also, the cleanliness of the place may not be 100% (not dirty, just not as clean as... More

This is the best BBQ you will find anywhere! Now, I know the location looks run down, but that has nothing on the food itself. After chatting with the owner, Sue Cobb, who's husband started the place over 60 years ago, you really get a great feeling about the love that goes into the food and service. Take a stroll... More

Joe Cobb's BBQ is an institution in the Shreveport/Bossier City area. It has been the home of great BBQ for many years and still delivers today. My wife and I stopped here while on vacation. The chopped BBQ beef sandwich was AMAZING and the potato salad was a great compliment to the meal. Combine the food with a wonderful atmosphere... More

Well my husband and I was staying at the comfort inn right around the corner from Joe Cobb BBQ so we decided to take a chance. The place was empty which should have gave us a clue. But we were giving them the benefit of a doubt. We ordered 2 bbq sandwiches and when I saw the lady prepare it... More

This is without a doubt the best Bar-B-Que you will find anywhere. Be forewarned, there are not frills, just good food. All the home town people have been eating here for 40-50 years, and on any given day the place will be full of local people. If you love good food, you won't be disappointed to eat at Joe Cobbs.

If youve never been to Cobbs you must go. 60 plus years in business. Love their potato salad and po boys! Not much on their actual bbq but the place is one of the most unique places in our area! Get out of the franchises and support local!

Joe Cobb Bar-B-Q is a Bossier City staple. The atmosphere is what you expect from an old fashioned BBQ joint, the service and the food are on par with the atmosphere a bit run-down but good. Worth a visit if you haven't!

OK, I have been back to Bossier City (Oct. 2-6) and ate at Cobb's TWICE. Still the same good food. Miss Sue was there when my class met for lunch. She's as sweet and friendly as ever. Sean was behind the counter serving up the best BBQ in town. I had the ribs, a departure from my usual chopped beef... More

Nestled in the middle of Bossier City LA is a GEM that should be discovered by all. Over 50 years ago a young man by the name of Joe Cobb made a deal with a family member to open a small Bar B Que shop, and he had a dream. Since the 1950's, Cobb's Bossier City Bar-B-Q has been opened... More
