It's all true: sketchy location; wonderful food!

Not often can one say, "I'm visiting Bossier City" and looking for a place to eat. So I read the reviews and was so pleased by reviews labeling Lucky as being in a sketchy location but with great food that I had to check it out. Let me tell you, truer words have NEVER been spoken. I read about the duck in the local newspaper and just had to try it. The other reviews are correct in that the Lucky Palace is located in a sketchy motel by the interstate on-ramp, and looks pretty down-scale. You enter by walking through the sketchy motel's sketchy lobby. And it takes a bit for your eyes to adjust to... More

Food is very good, prices are fair, portions very large. Restaurant atmosphere is nice, but you enter through the hotel lobby which smells a little stale. Regardless, we really like it and probably visit once a month.

Driving up you may want to pass but if you do, you will miss an experience of a life time. Get your adventuresome pants on and pull on in. The owner Kuan Lim knows his wines and cuisine. Just try his chicken wings and truffle salt. OMG you will never look at wings the same way again. Ok now that... More

Push past the exterior of the motel and definitely push past your impression of the motel lobby. No matter how you feel do not turn around, push through and get to the Lucky Palace. The food is fantastic. There is a great wine list. The service is friendly. It is a great place - you will never be disappointed.

The food was delicious and they delivered right to my room. They also provided plates and utensils and delivered exactly when they said they would. I asked that my food be prepared with brown sauce instead of white and accomodated that request very nicely.

This was our first and last visit--we had lunch in November 2014 and it was possibly the worst restaurant meal I've ever eaten. Before the meal was finished, I was laughing and wondering how much worse it could get. I can overlook run down and even dirty if the food is good enough, but the food was dreadful. I can... More

If you're going with a group of 6-8 folks, reserve the lazy susan table in advance. Portions here are usually pretty large, so it's more fun this way: order a few appetizers and a few entrees and spin the lazy susan to share with one another. It's convenient that the duck and scallion pancakes (maybe my favorite appetizer in the... More

OK, it is a Chinese restaurant but food is a little different and a bit better than normal. They have the typical menu items and a few that you normaly dont see. Try it and see if you like it to.

Wow! When you first see this place you think "you have got to be kidding me." It is located in an old motel which has seen better days. Inside the restaurant it looks rather run down but don't let the looks fool you. The food is excellent and the wine list is super. The prices are reasonable. We ordered an... More
