Working out of town and missing home cooking. This diner brought me out of depression with good home cooked vegetables. Had the lunch blue plate with fried pork chops and three vegetables. Everything was seasoned great and cooked to perfection. The servings were more than average and service was excellent. If you want to go country, go to the Southfield... More

Its so hard to find regular food like your momma used to make these days. They have it. Its nothing fancy but I don't think it should be. They have a nice selection and everything is good. Best cornbread this side of the Mississippi too:)

The Southfield Grill serves breakfast. The special of the day comes with three sides. These sides were outrageously delicious! We tried cabbage, fried squash, pinto beans, okra, and butter beans. The steak tips were so soft you didn't need a knife. The sausage gravy was loaded with meat. The restaurant was packed with people from the local area who are... More

It's getting worse and worse. Used to be one of our go to spots. It's also despicable that there's no "contact us" page or link on their website to contact them, as if they already know they got problems and they don't wanna hear about it. And the bad thing is, they're the only 'diner food' restaurant in south shreveport,... More

YUMMM. Everything is good, home style cooking. breakfast is available all day. Veggie plate or lunch specials. Several vegetable choices daily with at least 3 choices of entree. Pork tenderloin, chicken and dumplings, country fried steak. Make your choices and sit back and enjoy.

A popular place for some down home cooking, but not the best in my estimation. Vegetables and cornbread tend to be sweet, if you like that.

reliable source for a good home-cooked meal. When you don't feel like cooking, or you just want a piece of pie, this is the place to go.

Went here on our way back home. One person had a breakfast consisting of biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon and liked the meal however wasnt anything to rave about. I had the country fried steak meal and was very disappointed. The meal was something I could go buy at the frozen food section of Sam's club and put together. Mashed potatoes... More

Good basic breakfast food. I really like the biscuits and sausage gravy. At least two pieces of thick sausage are chopped and added to the bowl of gravy. The biscuits could be made with less yeast (very light and fluffy) so that they were a bit heavier. Quite location in the mornings for breakfast. Hard to turn left out of... More
