Unique experience of a server bringing a cart full of a variety of roasted and boiled meats. Point at your choices. Really good. Served with potatoes and sauces.

We go there ones a year and we have every time a good experience.Always the same excellent bolliti. Last time I missed the tortelli with pumpkin. DON'T DO IT AGAIN PLEASE! It is not possible to find better food for this reasonable price. JUST TO...LET YOU KNOW, I'M ITALIAN. Please don't change the menu. Never. For no reason.More

Very famous place the "Trattoria La Resca" where you can eat like your home and the tradition here in Cremona. "Bolliti and Mostarda", "Marubini" or agnolotti. Meat and meat, roasted, steamed snd more. Great atmosphere !

Second time in this traditional, warm "truck drivers" Trattoria..... Simple formula, with "primo" and "secondo". You are welcomed with some local conducts and appetizers, very good! Choice of soups and pasta. All genuine and good. But REAL highlight is the trolley of BOLLITO (boiled meat)...which includes at least 15 different meats (from veal head to tongue, cotechino, female chicken, beef cheek, ripen, cappella del pretend, pork in different parts, veal too....AND MORE). If you still have room desserts are nice. With wine and coffee (and grappa or amaro) a sure delightful stop during a trip to northern Italy.More

It looks like the typical Italian trattoria where truck drivers use to stop for lunch. I remember once an Italian friend of mine telling me right that those are the restaurants where one could eventually find the most genuine cuisine. The three of us where...hungry and we decided to stop over. The environment is very pleasant, clean, trattoria style. Very good service and delicious food. We all ordered starters and as main course the boiled and roast meet selection...it wasn't exactly the lightest meal of my life, perhaps because I've asked for an extra portion of everything :) Nice place, very good prices, great food!More

Lunch at Trattoria La Resca, near Cremona This place looks like a truck stop, with an abandoned gas station next door. Yes, semis were parked outside and a few truck drivers sat indoors. What an amazing meal. We had been told the menu would be...“boiled meats,” (bollito misto) and I was NOT excited. Pleasant surprise: we had an unusual and delicious meal. Our tour group of 25 people took up an entire room, yet (almost all) the service flowed quickly and smoothly. The friendly young giant we has passed on the way in acted as our chief waiter and translator into English when needed. Appetizer plates came out: Cremona salami, coppa from Paicenze, mixed vegetables, crostini, polenta and pancetta, frititta and baccala (cod) crostino. Decanters of red and white wine, sparkling and still water. The pasta course tagliolini with 4 separate sauces: I divided my small plate of very good, fresh pasta into small sections and tried each of the 4 sauces: mushroom, tomato, meat sauce, and chicken livers. Meanwhile, we glimpsed in the next room a man serving from a large, rolling cart filled with various meats. Soon a small, thin, red-headed man pushed that meat cart into our room and the friendly giant explained what the meats were (roast veal, brisket, hen and stuffing, beef cheek, cotichino sausage, soft salami, tongue, smoked tongue, pork loin, ‘coppa’, spalla di San Secondo) and asked each of us to name the meats we wanted. The slicer cut a thin slice of each with a flourish. Four sauces were passed: tomato, quince, a green sauce (mostly parsley), and mostarda (lightly spicy candied fruits, rind at all). We tried the various sauces, deciding which we liked best with each meat. Here the swift service slowed. Each person was served individually and it took time to go around the room. Then came the cheese cart: seven cheeses with the quince sauce or local honey, the best cjheese being a gorgonzola dolce At last the dessert: an apple and amaretto torta with vanilla ice cream. When asked for a sweetish wine to go with this, the owner treated us to 3 bottles of moscato. Then came shot glasses and bottles of grappa, limoncello, and Liquore de Liquirizia, a thick, intense licorice drink, black as tar. None of us were driving. In short, we were treated extremely well here and called the kitchen staff out 3 times for applause and thanks.More

This is a restaurant for lovers of boiled meat but the menu is rather limited otherwise. The service is quick and efficient and the quality of the food good. Excellent homemade tarts.

Been recommended this simple Trattoria and just had lunch here: I am amazed, outstanding experience. Food is proposing local tradition with simplicity and amazing fresh ingredients, good house wine and friendly but professional service. Do not miss the "carrello dei bolliti", their assorted boiled meats:...pork, beef, veal, poultry ... all the best I ever had in my life! Cannot wait to return! Cost is, wine and digestives included, $40 max per person, umbelivable!More
