Great place with big menu

We have eaten here numerous times when in town for games or events. Hamburgers, po boys, ect. I like the hamburger steak.

This is a must go to place in Baton Rouge! It is a bit of a dive, but the food is fantastic and the place has a lot of character. Sandwiches are huge and everybody loves the variety of what they offer. Plenty of traditional Cajun food and outstanding po-boys! The pot roast po-boy is just amazing ... wish they... More

I've been going to George's for years when I've visited family in Baton Rouge. Now that I've moved back it's a regular stop. The poboys are my favorite, especially the oyster or catfish poboys. My only two criticisms are these: the poboys are fairly pricey, especially the oyster ones, and I would love it if they would offer 2 or... More

Have been eating here for 25 years. Yes, it's a dive, yes the parking can be rough - but if you want a local place, you must go. The recent ones (Southside and O'Neal) are all similar and food is good - but the original is THE place. Po boys are awesome, as are the burgers - but the mufalettas... More

Always a favorite. Best cheese fries around and the sandwiches are big and flavorful. Longtime establishment with a great reputation for good reason. Always stop by when we come to town.

Typical bar food with counter service. Write down what you want and give it to the cashier. Average burger. Nothing special.

We stopped in while on a vacation road trip. What a surprise! It's definitely got a dive bar vibe but the menu is pretty diverse. We all had cheeseburgers and fries. We thoroughly enjoyed them and will return. First timers....order your food at the bar then find your table. It's dark and if you don't know what you're doing then... More

I was in the mood for a good po boy, we stopped at a place called New Orleans Po Boys , but it was closed because they are closed on Sundays. We decided to go to Georges on Coursey Blvd. Lo and behold they were voted best poboys in Baton Rouge by the 225 Magazine.I got the French Dip, I... More
