The actual visits were some time ago before I joined Trip Advisor. On our first visit the waiter spilled oil from an entrée on my wife's silk jacket, It was ruined. On our second visit, with friends to whom I had bragged about the wine list, we found that many of the wines on the wine list were not available.... More

The food was good but I would like to see more on the plate for the price and to have more seasoning on the food. The service was great and the atmosphere was good.

We liked this restaurant very much. We didn't find it outdated at all. The dining room was a lovely room - nicely decorated. We were there on a Sunday for lunch. We thought the Beignets and Crab Omelets were delicious. It was a little pricey but we were on vacation so we didn't care. Hope to revisit this restaurant next... More

Jubans is in massive need of an overhaul. In particular, their menu is stuck back a few decades. It certainly shows with the age of their clientele (+55). I wonder if the group of regulars simply hasn't been to any of the restaurants that have committed to a food resurgence in Baton Rouge. Overpriced food that is not cooked with... More

We took out of town guests to Juban's in mid-April, telling them this was the best Baton Rouge had to offer. Our last meal there had been a year or so ago. Boy were we disappointed!! Two persons had the chopped salad and found it swimming in too much dressing. Two persons had steaks and both were dissatisfied. The steaks... More

The food here is absolutely fabulous!!! I had the two birds, which was duck and quail stuffed with boudin. They were cooked perfectly. My husband had the redfish, and it was delicious. Nice romantic atmosphere too. The bar area is really nice too. It's a definite must for a romantic night out with your spouse!

I've always thought this restaurant would be better served in a standalone location instead of the small strip mall that it is in. This fine dining restaurant near the LSU campus will leave you plenty satisfied if you're in the mood for a pricey, ritzy, New Orleans style creole meal. I have never had a bad meal there, although I... More

Folks out there , my word of kindness to u, there is a place called Jubans where they attract people with photos if crab standing up , with the high name they have ( don't know from where they got it or how) and over priced over fried menu. The interior is 18th century, doily curtains and no air or... More

I had the pleasure of dining at Juban's this past weekend, and truly enjoyed every moment. This restaurant sits off Perkins Road in a strip mall in a rather unattractive area, which made me question our decision to dine there. However, once inside, we were pleasantly surprised. The waiting area has plenty of literature - reviews and accolades - to... More

A group from a workshop went after our day in the conference room. Comfortable room with other large groups, nice seating, not cramped. CUTE young waiters quickly took drink and appetizer orders. Frog legs were very light and tasty served with pickled celery and blue cheese and hot sauce (kind of odd but very tasty). Only negative Was shrimp Roumalade... More
