Many times I’ve dined late with satisfaction. Tonight I took guests in the dinner hour and was embarrassed and disappointed. Service ... We ordered a round of appetizers, and only mine was delivered. Two separate servers conspicuously avoided several attempts to get their attention. My guests were far more amused than I was. Finally, I went to the front desk... More

We liked the atmosphere, and the friendliness of the personnel. We had the "Two Birds" and Chicken as main dishes. The vegetables were overcooked, and the duck (one part of the two birds) is best described as extremely chewy. As a desert, we ordered Creme Brûlée with mixed berries. The mixed berried turned out as half of a strawberry, the... More

I love going to this restaurant and go about once a month! Food and service are fabulous but this is not where you go when you are in a rush.

37 of our bus tour were taken to Jubans for dinner. It looks from the outside to be a basic strip mall eatery but once that front door opens it all changes. A very large place with a number of private function rooms, very well stocked bar and an extensive menu with a southern flavour. Great service from friendly staff,... More

If you want an upscale dining experience with excellent service and food at a price that doesn't require a 2nd mortgage on your home then you should definitely try Jubans. We started with their Gumbo. It had a very rich roux and was full of duck meat and andouille sausage. It was a little too salty but still among the... More

For years the high level of quality and consistency of Juban's has made it the place you think of first for a fine dining meal in Baton Rouge. The Juban' s Gumbo and Hallelujah Fried Soft-Shell Crab have been their signature dishes for most of the years they have been open. The service is normally very refined. However, try to... More

I broke up a 12-day gastro-vacation to New Orleans a road trip up to Baton Rouge and Lafayette. I researched Juban's - if you only have one opportunity to dine in Baton Rouge, then Juban's should be your choice. If you like cooked oysters but are frustrated by the shell size limiting the amount of stuffing you get then the... More

Greeeaaattt! Just like Tony the tiger says. This place is fantastic. Has the atmosphere of New Orleans but a lot closer. Cajun food was very tasty, prices are reasonable. Sunday brunch is all you can drink champagne, mimosa, and Bellini. Service was impeccable.

Great service, great atmosphere and classic creole cuisine with a twist. Absolutely recommended if you are in the Baton Rouge area. Famous for their soft shell crab presentation known as the "hallelujah crab"
