Food was spot on delicious, even for this self-professed foodie! The catfish was battered perfectly and literally melted in your mouth. Seafood gumbo, sautéed crab claws everything was excellent! For those of you who are amateurs when it comes to Cajun/Creole food - keep in mind that it is rich! Even for a Louisiana girl ;). Still, it's well worth... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant while vacationing in Destin Florida.. I must say that was one of the best most Devine meals we've had on an outing.. Needless to say we were excited to return home to Baton Rouge to visit the home restaurant.. Well I'll say this.. We won't return. The good was not half as good... More

Went there twice and both times has the best meal and best service in baton rouge. The seaford is amazing and so are the drinks.

My husband and I always eat at La Lagniappe Restaurant on all special occasions. The food is always excellent and they have crab cakes to die for!! Because it's so popular, we always arrive at 5:30 when they open.

The crab cakes are amazing. Stuffed with real crab meat, not bread crumbs! We ate the appetizer and shared a meal and it was more than enough. Our waiter had an assistant who was very personable and helpful!

Best meal I had while in BR. Food and service were excellent. Our waiter Jerome was very knowledgeable, he helped us choose a great meal and wine to go with it. Even though we were stuffed we made room for the bread pudding and were glad we did. I thought the price was reasonable, even a good value for the... More

Baton Rouge has a host of seafood restaurants with a varied mix of quality food and service. Louisiana Lagniappe has the best of both. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent, from the fresh fish en papillote to the crevettes. Unlike many high end restaurants the salad and side (potato) come with each entree ('lagniappe'). Coffee... More

This meal was as classic as it gets for GREAT Southern Louisiana cuisine! Rich seasonings, super fresh ingredients, fast service, white linen table clothes and good glass of wine... This would be anyone's favorite meal experience! If you are in Baton Rouge and want a great meal this is the place for you! insider's Tip: it's ok to share. Let... More
