Excellent roast beef poor boys

Kind of an old place, but very well maintained. If you order a roast beef poor boy, be prepared to use lots of napkins. The sloppier the better. They are delicious!

This restaurant was across the street from the Hotel I was staying at (Hilton Baton Rouge Capital Center) and I eyed it several times. I've been to New Orleans once and was anxious to try another Po Boy! During the week they are only open until 3pm, so I managed to get over there for lunch one day. I was... More

My choice was a poor boy with shrimp. Bread was fresh. Super place for lunch with local flavor. I felt like I might have been the only customer not from Baton Rouge.

not our first trip to Lloyds. the owner at the register is my favorite thing about Lloyd's. it has a diner atmosphere thats un-pretentious and members of the staff treat you like family. never go to Baton Rouge without going to Lloyds

The food was very good, though leaning heavily toward the fried end of the spectrum. There was a live band that was excellent and played good soul music at a volume that still allowed for conversation. The price was right.

Stopped in for a late lunch. We had the stuff crab and the red beans, rice and sausage plate. The stuffed crab came with French fries, slaw which was more than enough. The red beans and rice covered the plate with a large side of sausage. If you like red beans and rice this is the place to go!

Charming little restaurant in the heart of downtown! We went for lunch and had the Shrimp PoBoy and the Red Beans and Rice with Smoked Sausage...yum! Pleasant and friendly wait staff, cozy and vibrant...a Baton Rouge must do!

It's been a month since I ate here but really wanted to contribute a positive review. The Po Boy was really good. My friends Pecan Smoked Deer Sausage was also amazing! Local, casual, friendly, a great Po Boys!

Heading home, and looking for a good Cajun po'boy, and Lloyd's popped up, with good reviews. They were right! We love the old school vibe; lots of LSU memorabilia, and a nice wait staff. On a Saturday afternoon, they had a gentleman playing live music and singing, which was a great addition to delicious sandwiches. The bread is fresh, as are the ingredients... More

This is an old-school, neighborhood, family-oriented restaurant with authentic Louisiana Po-Boys. Don't expect trendy decor. Just good food, courteous service and a charmingly crowded and friendly place reminiscent of the typical '50s and '60s neighborhood restaurant. Fast, friendly service. Please remember to tip your beverage server! So many people forget to do this in casual restaurants.
