We found this little restaurant right off of I 10 on our trip home. It was packed with locals from the capitol. Very homey and snug. We decided to just try the specials, chicken and dumplings, jambalaya, and the spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was excellent and very reasonably priced. My special also came with an apple pie that was delicious!... More

The food here was GREAT. Make sure you get the jambalaya and the boudin balls. Ms. Mary is kinda slow but she will get your order. Check your order before you leave but other than that the food is good. Right across the street from the hotel. where I stayed. The breakfast is good too. They make homemade biscuits.

We had an great experience here. Totally enjoyed our meal served by an excellent knowledgable staff. Local LA food. Local LA blues band. What a find. We were heading to the Blues Room and found it. As tourists we asked the doorman at the club (which wasn't open for the evening yet) where a good food place was and he... More

This is a great spot to enjoy lunch. I had the fried alligator po-boy and it was quite good. It's a small place and seems to get busy very quickly so be prepared to wait a little while during the lunch crowd. You can tell it's a local favorite and I can understand why. Very casual place with great service.
