Great Louisiana Cookin!

Charming little restaurant in the heart of downtown! We went for lunch and had the Shrimp PoBoy and the Red Beans and Rice with Smoked Sausage...yum! Pleasant and friendly wait staff, cozy and vibrant...a Baton Rouge must do!

It's been a month since I ate here but really wanted to contribute a positive review. The Po Boy was really good. My friends Pecan Smoked Deer Sausage was also amazing! Local, casual, friendly, a great Po Boys!

Heading home, and looking for a good Cajun po'boy, and Lloyd's popped up, with good reviews. They were right! We love the old school vibe; lots of LSU memorabilia, and a nice wait staff. On a Saturday afternoon, they had a gentleman playing live music and singing, which was a great addition to delicious sandwiches. The bread is fresh, as are the ingredients... More

This is an old-school, neighborhood, family-oriented restaurant with authentic Louisiana Po-Boys. Don't expect trendy decor. Just good food, courteous service and a charmingly crowded and friendly place reminiscent of the typical '50s and '60s neighborhood restaurant. Fast, friendly service. Please remember to tip your beverage server! So many people forget to do this in casual restaurants.

Had a great lunch here with some business friends. We were there at noon on a Thursday and the wait was not very long. This is a 'mom and pop' restaurant that really knows how to do Po Boys. Fried pickles are wonderful. I highly recommend the Pecan Smoked Deer Sausage Po Boy. Absolutely tasty!

Wonderful staff.. This restaurant has to be the oldest in downtown restaurant In Baton Rouge! For over 40 years. Poor Boy Lloyd's has offered breakfast, hot roast beef po-boys, shrimp, oyster, and soft shell crab po-boys, steaks and seafood. Live music on Friday nights.

I have had many shrimp Po Boys, including New Orleans and Florida, where I live. This one ranks high on that list. Not a table cloth and silverware kind of place. More like those I visited in NOLA. Lloyd (loacals called him Floyd) was a hoot - very random. I would recommend Lloyd's/(Floyd's??) to anyone. Oh, buy yourself

I'm NOT Cajun. And, like many, don't love Cajun food. BUT...I do like to try certain things. And I love a great sandwich. And what they have here are GREAT PO Boys. So, I had the shrimp PoBoy and the Gumbo (without the rice). And bother were awesome. And my favorite, Dr. Pepper!! Nothing too spicy at all!!! Thank you... More

Best PoBoy sandwiches any where, On the river front in Baton Rouge and worth the time to stop, great food and even better service, everyone is your friend and it is run like one happy family. Will go back every time I am in the city. The deer sausage was super and so were the pies and old fashioned root... More
