Hubby had a catfish and I had a alligator sausage. Very good - the bread is super. The atmosphere is fun and the employees were friendly and personable. We'd go back when we're in Baton Rouge.

I had read lots of reviews about Lloyd's so I went straight there once I go in town for a beer and oyster po-boy. The beer was fine, large and frosty, but the po-boy was underwhelming, in my estimation. Perhaps my expectations were the problem. Very friendly staff, but the signature item was mediocre.

Basic breakfast. Was hoping for something a little more appealing. Could have gone a few extra steps like sautéing the onions before the omelet and not put in the standard american cheese slice. Was think about going back for lunch, but decided not.

Some of the best shrimp & oyster Po Boy's that I have had. This place is near the end of Florida St. Street parking is with meters and is not too difficult.

The food at Lloyd's is great and the atmosphere is also reminiscent if New Orleans which I love as being from there. The ole lady taking orders though is in such a rush to take your order she completely must have wrote down the wrong thing. The weird thing is that I knew hat I was gonna order anyway, she... More

I've always wanted to try this little place out every time I was in the area and finally got a chance. Fast friendly service, great food at a reasonable price. So glad I was able to stop in. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in Poor Boy Lloyd's while touring downtown Baton Rouge on an early Saturday afternoon. The staff members were very friendly and our server, Kimberly, was awesome in suggesting menu items. I was surprised to see & hear a live keyboardist entertaining the patrons with songs from a variety of genres. There's nothing special about the dining area, but the... More

Read reviews on Poor Boy Lloyd's so wife and I decided to stop and have dinner there with the family so we can enjoy the local Cajun atmosphere. Had 5 kids including a guest friend of my daughter and one mother in law in tow. Lloyd's had local music going with Cajun influence and the wife and I had a... More

We did a search on Trip Advisor and found this place. We were passing through Baton Rouge on our way to Florida and wanted some good cajun food. Didn't have time for a fancy restaurant and didn't want anything too expensive. It looked promising. Little hole in the wall near the water. Very nice people and down home atmosphere. The... More
