Always happy!

I can't say that I've ever had a meal that didn't exceed my expectations! Always fresh and flavorful. I love how accommodating the kitchen is with my needs as a vegetarian. Great service and wonderful wine selection!

We went out with friends to this small intimate spot. It was our 4th visit, since we enjoyed it on the other occasions. The menu had changed, and our favorites were missing. We tried new items, and each was over seasoned. I will probably not go back for a long while.

Nowhere in the city will you find a restaurant like this one. From the outside, it's not what you'd expect. Small place that packs a lot of love and freshness into every dish. Everything made to order. Emphasis on local produce, which I appreciate. House-cured meats, fresh baked sourdough and fresh pasta - all made in house. Try the gnocchi... More

Upon reviewing the menu I was afraid that I couldn't eat there and maintain my successful weight loss. The chef came to my table to ask what my concerns and needs were. He made recommendations of dishes and suggested modifications that would meet my needs. The result was a wonderful and flavorful dish of fresh ingredients, some of which I... More

My husband and I stopped at Nino's Italian for lunch. It's a small place with big ambience! We shared the mussels appetizer....there were a lot of mussels! My husband had a Ragu with duck confit...wonderful. I wanted something lighter; so, I ordered the grilled romaine salad with shrimp. It was perfect. Our waitress Laney was very attentive. If we lived... More

East to drive past, but hard to leave.. Quaint little restaurant in the quieter corner of a food packed area! Amazingly delicious food for great prices (especially once you consider the value). The hearts of romain salad and mushroom pasta were both heavenly. If you want great food, go to Ninos.

A small restaurant, family run, serving Italian food that is locally sourced and prepared to order. Menu selections are somewhat different and some unusual dishes are offered. Service was good and the noise level is low. The manager is actively engaged in preparation and serving. For run of-the-mill Italian food, I find the nearby Little Village more reasonable and food... We came early on three occasions, and by six pm every table was taken on each visit. Reservations are a must in this small restaurant on Essen. The chef varies the ingredients to items, and they are not always the same as described on the menu. However, the end result is usually excellent. We had an enjoyable dining experience each... More

Nino's is a small restaurant with outstanding food. The portions are reasonably sized and prices are reasonable for the high quality of food. Many of the ingredients are from local suppliers, and the menu includes a list of them. Recently we had dinner there with friends and I chose the pasta (black and white) with mussels and oyster and shitake... More

Nino's is the type of restaurant you would expect in NYC or San Francisco but not Baton Rouge. They have taken Italian as a base and then applied local source ingredients, house made sauces and pasta, and a lot of creativity to create something special. We started with the Crab Cakes which were mostly crab and then the goat cheese... More
