The place was fantastic. The manager Derek was a joy to talk to. Or server Brett was on point. The Ralph platter was amazing. It should be on everyone's list of places to go.

We go to many restaurants, but this one was exceptional in every way. Primarily, the food was excellent. We ordered one meal based on Soft Shell Crab and one based on Chicken & seafood. Both were perfect. Side items included Cajon rice, slaw, fries, & rolls. Even the appetizer of stuffed mushrooms was perfect. The service was as goo (and... More

The service was very good and the food tasty. Conveniently located next to the Hyatt Place Hotel. It's only steps from the hotel and the atmosphere was calm, quiet relaxing but meets the needs of family, corporate, etc.

Went early on a Sunday evening to avoid the crowd. I'm a former Baton Rouge resident back visiting family. NICE traffic!! Immediate seating. Many of the dead animals on the walls have been removed. Had an exceptionally nice waitress. I got the Sensation Salad and the Shrimp Trawl after 3 or 4 hush puppies. STUFFED. Good stuff all around

We didn't know anything about the area, so just started looking and found listing for Ralph & Kacoo's, so we headed there, as that is one of our must visit places in New Orleans. We were seating, drink orders taken and since it was early, we were one of the few people there, so our food was quickly presented. We... More

We ate here ONLY because my son had good memories of eating here as a child....the food was over-cooked and all of the fried food tasted..well, fried. Catfish tasted like shrimp, which tasted like crawfish..they need to change the oil.

Pretty good food. Prices reasonable for what you receive. Ordered the Shrimp trawl. The shrimp au gratin was wonderful. Large portions!

We started the evening with bread and hushpuppies. The bread was really good, hushpuppies average. We had gumbo which was average with a thicker rue. The grilled shrimp were slightly undercooked for my taste. And while the dirty rice had a good flavor, it was overly salty. The facility itself was very large. The service was good. Would probably try... More

We had friends from out of town and Ralph's was always good and it was close to their hotel so I choose it but I wish I wouldn't have. The service was good but the food wasn't as good as all the many times that I had eaten there before, was it just a bad day!!! Brett the waiter was... More

It's always difficult finding a restaurant that will please a group of midwesterners when in the delicious food state of Louisiana. Ralph & Kacoo's was suggested by Danny Bonaventure of Allonsa Lafayette who actually knows the owners. He hit it right on the mark. The food choices were plentiful, the pricing was right and the biscuits and the hush puppies... More
