It is so nice to go to a restaurant & hear all your party talk. There are several rooms in this old house. We had over 2 hours in a room by ourselves. I enjoyed the escargot & we got the hearts of Palm salad. We had the fish special in parchment & it was excellent. Others had the duck... More

I waited a few days as I wanted to let the experience sink in rather than be rash but the longer I think about the experience, the more disapponted I am. My wife made reaervations for my birthday on Wednesday 8/6 at 7pm. We arrived at 6:55 and waited for several minutes before even seeing someone at the reservation desk... More

I love French food so I planned several French restaurants, on our recent vacation. The food and the service were both good. I had the Crawfish Bisque and we had salads. Main course was a seafood crepe with asparagus, shrimp, fish, white sauce - very tasty! Fiancé got the pork tenderloin with raspberry sauce, and green beans - enjoyable. My... More

Wow, this place has a lot of glowing reviews. I was excited to go. I love the idea of local Louisana food done with a French flare, and there is some of that. (I think they should play up that angle more.) The experience was nice, the little house is very charming... but the food just didn't live up to... More

Maison Lacour is a charming, intimate restaurant, and the food is delicious! Thank you TripAdvisor! We were traveling through Baton Rouge on our way to Alabama via I-12. How perfect that the restaurant was very close to the Interstate and that there had been a cancellation at just the time we would be arriving! And on the Eve of Valentine's... More

In a small converted family home on an out-of-the-way street in East Baton is a genuine French restaurant whose cuisine rivals the best of culinary establishments in Paris. Maison LaCour is a perfect spot for a celebratory dinner or an intimate lunch or even an economical early bird dining experience. On a recent visit celebrating my wife's birthday, we feasted... More

This is a very romantic restaurant for a date or small gathering. The food is french with a little cajun flair. A large and varied menu make it a great dining experience!

Began with the best Sazeracs ever (I've had many in NewOrleans) and aKir Royale. We eat here regularly and have for many years. Eva (owner) is from southeastern France and is usually our hostess, exchanging pleasantries in French. As in France, they prepare each dish as it has been served every time through the years. Of note on this dinner... More

This tiny restaurant (seats only about 24 at a time) is a true culinary gem. French cuisine, huge portions, and impeccable service. I had a lovely seafood soup followed by grilled shrimp and vegetables. Make your reservations and be prepared to linger over aperitifs and after dinner cocktails.

Wish I lived close. It's in an old house. We looked around in the rooms and were fascinated with the decor. Our dinner was suberb. My husband and I both had steaks that were very good quality and large portions. Souffle dessert would have been better if it had been served with a sauce. First time I had a souffle... More
