I've been to Maison Lacour over 30 times over the years, from celebrating events with my family when I was a child, to annual office Christmas lunches, to romantic dates with my wife. Without a doubt, it is the most consistently excellent upscale dining experience in Baton Rouge. The food is always excellent, and the service is superb. The waitstaff... More

Literacy and Civics met at Maison Lacour to staff Christmas stockings for our project for Youth Oasis and have lunch. The restaurant made it easy for us to do our work and had a fantastic lunch. We really Enjoyed the restaurant, meal and our volunteer work.

The French bread started the meal off wonderfully. Cream of Brie with Crab is sooo good! Lemon Chicken was very good. I was a little disappointed in the Louisiana Lust dessert. Service was excellent for our group.

A Baton Rouge Classic, the food was very good and fairly priced expect about $25 per person for lunch including tip and you should be able to have a very nice lunch. The ambiance of this cute little house adds character to your meal. It's lovely. On the negative side, the house has been here for quite a while and... More

I have been aware of Maison Lacour for quite a while. Having always wanted to try it but never commiting to it, I was curious about the lunch menu and pricing. After looking at the website and realizing it is quite reasonably priced for a nicer lunch, my girlfriend and I decided to give it a shot. The service was... More

For our 46th wedding anniversary eve we wanted a quiet wonderful meal. Dinner at Maison Lacour was just what we wanted - a perfect meal in a wonderful setting. The shrimp ravioli appetizer was nothing less than exquisite. "John's Favorite" (a filet with Hollandaise sauce plus crab meat in a puff pastry) was as always just perfect. once again we... More

We had a reservation and were seated very quickly. We were offered bread and water soon after we were seated---good mixed drinks followed. Appetizers of artichoke hearts and crab meat were very good and a solid hollandaise sauce. We ordered a rack of lamb and the duck breast. Each was good but both were over cooked---lamb was supposed to be... More

our small group enjoyed a very good lunch meal here in this converted old house. we dined in the small back room which held only three tables, making for a pleasant and quiet meal. the menu offers some classic french items, but does mix in local ingredients, such as gulf shrimp and marsh crawfish. everything that we had was prepared... From all the great reviews, I was very misled... I'm not sure if it is what we ordered or not...love the atmosphere...love the bread and love the salad...after that it was all downhill for my husband and I...my veal was dry, hardly any crab meat on top, the fish in the bag was oily and extremely fishy...they didn't have the...
