Our grand daughter has been wanting us to dine here for quite a while...but time schedule just never seemed to be in our favor. We went to Baton Rouge to bring her birthday presents to her and for she and I to do some retail bonding! We arrived after the lunch rush...chose a table and everything went no where but... More

This is hands down my favorite place to eat in Baton Rouge. And that's saying a lot, because BR is no stranger to good restaurants. Pinetta's is that hidden gem of a place that you could live near for years without knowing was there. Or, your grandma told you about it long ago but you thought no way it was... More

Pinetta's is one of the best hole in the wall restaurants in Baton Rouge. The atmosphere is dark but quaint. I have had the lasagna every time because it is so good that I can't venture away from it. The chianti is an added bonus. The friend that I go with always gets the veal cutlet and swears that it... More

Let me start by saying I have been to Pinetta's numerous times over the years, never by choice. The food is okay, but has made me sick in the past. I have tried almost everything on the menu. The red sauce is smokey, meaty, and spicy, and on almost every dish, so if this sauce doesn't sound good, don't eat... More

All I can say is that it's more than worth the wait. Small, sometimes crowded, chilly at times, dark but romantic, a bit chaotic when crowded. Fresh ingredients, made when you order, relax have a few drinks, enjoy your company. Not a place to go when in a time crunch

Disclaimer - this is the first time I have ever posted a negative review. My friend and I were so excited to start our meal with a delicious dish of hummus and the thoughtful wait person. When our entrees arrived, we dug in - My meal was great. Unfortunately, my friend's red sauce was inedible due to a serious overdose... More

Pinettas use to be the place to take a date on Saturday night, now only the roaches and mice still go to Pinettas. Old world charm is not old dust. sorry.

Met a friend for lunch there and had a fantastic meal. I had been to Pinetta's years ago and it was just as fine this time. Eggplant parmigiana was delicious, and the lasagna was divine (I tasted my child's). The Mousse-amisu is a must try for dessert.... a chocolate mousse version of tiramisu... Divine! This is a locally owned, small... More

I've been dining at Pinetta's since my freshman year of college in 2004, and am sad to hear reviews complaining about the slow service. I have to agree in that it does take some time for the food to come out and wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to get in, eat, and get out. For those... More

Dark and dingy atmosphere, food alright, but not the cleanest restaurant in town. Been a few times wouldn't be apposed to going back.
