We are not food snobs. We like beer and La/Tex/Mex food in large quantities at a reasonable price. I have eaten here for many years and am always pleased. Great chips and the right sort of salsa for us. Just the right spicy and consistency. I personally have never had a bad bite at On The Border.

For chain Mexican it's pretty good and the staff is friendly. I'm always surprised that it's not as busy as it is but I thinks that's due to location. It's a little hard to figure out how to get there. I go b/c it's walking distance from the hotel I stay at.

Customer service was great, but food taste & quality was poor. Tasted like frozen food, bland and not fresh.

Enchiladas and jalapeno poppers for lunch. Substantial, received very warm vs heat hot. The poopers were large and the helping plentiful (those not finished and taken home were even spicier the 2nd day!). and sufficiently spicy hot, but not overly so. Wait service was good enough to earn a substantial tip in excess of 25%.

This restaurant is right behind Homewood Suites (off Corporate/College). Walked in around 5:30 and was seated, served drinks/chips, and got our meals in a quick manner. Food was great, service was fine, and I'll return.

From the moment we sat down until the moment we left, our experience here was awful. The restaurant was almost empty, which in a college town, should have been our first clue. The chips/salsa/queso were far from even mediocre and when our food finally arrived, neither my friend nor myself could enjoy our meal. It just plain wasn't good. I'm... More

Tuesday evening after many errands we decided to stop at On the Border. It was a pleasant surprise. We sat on the patio and enjoyed dinner. Service was not dynamic but it was good. The food was much better than our previous visits. A new manager has taken over and it shows throughout the restaurant. It is much cleaner and... More

I have waited a long time for a meal before but we had to wait even to order drinks. Then we had to wait to order our meal. Still no drinks... It took forever! When my frozen margarita finally arrived it was mostly melted. The food was okay but by the time it finally came we had filled up on... More

I visit this On the Border quite often as I work very close to this restaurant. I would like if the chips were a little lighter and served hot. The salsa is good. My favorite is the tortilla soup it is always hot and fresh and the taste is amazing. I don’t care for the rice but they give you... More

This place is the best for mexican cuisine . I love its salsa and brownie sundae. Excellent service and awesome food.👍
