I got the shrimp po boy and like the title says, it was the best I've ever had! They also have a great selection of draft beers and reasonable pricing.

There are a dozen places in Baton Rouge that are just like this (Ralph & Kacoo is the grandfather of them all) - and if you are in a hurry or want low fuss, it's OK food. You won't leave hungry. But, the place is a food factory - it truthfully feels a bit like cafeteria food. The Delocroixs are... More

My husband, toddler son, and I took the "scenic route" off of interstate 10 to avoid traffic and stumbled upon this gem. We were kind of looking for lunch (at 3pm) and noticed the parking lot quite full. Based on this reason we stopped. I had the Vermilion and my husband had the Delacroix. We both found our food to... This undersated gem of a restaurant is also located one of the most underrated destination in the USA - Baton Rouge Louisiana. Have visited this place a few times and each time it seems to get better, fantastic authentic seafood without compromise and if the food was any fresher a good vet could probably revive it! Black n blue Tuna... More

This is a very good restaurant offering a variety of menu items that reflect the food of South Louisiana.

I had heard great reviews about Parrain's, but unfortunately had remembered my experience when it first opened so I had not been back. That is not the case now! The offer a great variety of seafood/Cajun dishes (more fried than anything), along with a fantastic appetizer menu. To be quite honest, I would go back for appetizers alone!. The price... More

Average south LA fare; food was fresh and freshly prepared. Service was efficient but somewhat cold and indifferent

I took clients here for lunch two weeks ago and i was glad i found this place. Extensive cajun menu. This place is casual dining for sure, but if you like oysters, shrimp and gulf seafood in a casual atmosphere, i would go here. I had the turtle soup to start with and it was perfectly prepared. Not my cup... More

It's a true taste of Louisiana culture and food. The food is consistently outstanding and fresh. Cooked just right, spices that don't overwhelm and you never leave hungry.
