The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. The service was good and the location was great. Would like to see more food on the plate for the price.

This restaurant is a real gem. The ambience is best described as old fashioned Louisiana seafood. The food is awesome. We had seafood gumbo and crawfishe étouffée. Both were rich and loaded with seafood and crawfish, respectfully. For starters I had coleslaw which was wonderful and my wife had a sensation salad which was also good.
I was quickly seated. Service was good. I had the crabmeat au gratin---yummy. The hushpuppies as always were delicious---the best I have ever had. The cajun stuffed baked potato was very good. Restroom was clean.
This restaurant seems to be a local favorite, and is a bustling venue. However, the menu was extremely slanted toward the blackened, crawfish, and fried genre. I was pleasantly surprised that the wine list included Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio by the glass, and reasonably priced.

This place was never all that good, but on a recent trip to Baton Rouge I was in the neighborhood, wanted seafood, and figured, why not?

The selection is great enjoyed the chargrilled oyster and Shrimp Nelson appetizers. The étouffée was average, nothing special. Enjoyed the fried shrimp and catfish. Stuffed crab was different, not bad.
This was a wonderful choice for us on a dance competition weekend in Baton Rouge. We could not go until late and were all exhausted and the staff was so attentive and considerate and welcoming to our children. We did not make a bad choice!!! Crawfish!!!! Black Drum, Yum!!!! Homemade onion rings! Delicious gumbo....Fabulous desserts. The salad was a "Sensation."...

Attn Chico:
upon dining at your restraurant the raw oysters were delicious, the shrimp cocktail was superb. However, the fried crab claws were horrible. They were old and on the verge of turning bad. The waitress did credit the un-eaten portion, and handled the situation in a professional manner as her tip reflected.
This will not detour me from again...

I have always followed 1 important rule of thumb....if I go to a seafood restaurant, only order seafood, since that's their specialty..
