We stopped overnight in Baton Rouge and our hotel clerk recommended this as a good seafood restaurant. My husband and I split a seafood combo which was good and plenty for the two of us. We did have a slow response time in getting water refills but our waitress had several tables to service.

Deliciously spicey. The first plate of boiled shrimp comes with corn and potato, but the subsequent plates just have shrimp. I like that the server could see when I was getting near the last few shrimp and would bring me more . Some places try to wait you out on all you can eat dishes thinking you will give in... More

The seafood offerings were quite amazing and, having settled on the blackened redfish special with shrimp and grits, it was fantastic. My companion's meal was equally delicious. Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is that the hush puppies were coated with sugar. Why does everything need to be so sweet?

We were overnighting in Baton Rouge, LA on our way to San Antonio in our RV and had a craving for seafood. Drusilla Seafood was highly recommended. We drove down the highway about 9 miles from where we were camping and found Drusilla in the corner of a strip plaza. Still, the entrance and surrounding ambiance were really very welcoming.... It had been more than 5 years since we visited. Actually we were heading to a higher rated place but saw the sign. We were NOT disappointed. We had calamari (huge serving), dozen raw oysters, On the Bayou assortment, and stuffed flounder. The flound was moist and fine BUt it was not a stuffed flounder. It was a filet topped... More

Stopped for lunch on our way to Florida. Food was mediocre at best. Had fried shrimp and my partner had snapper. Mine was dry and overcooked. Mashed potatoes weren't served hot and they, too, were dried out. Dining room was dingy and mostly empty. Only bright spot was our friendly cheerful waitress Just not much to entice us back. Wouldn't... More

This was recommended by our motel and was easy to reach off of I-75. It was a large family kind of place with a low key atmosphere. I very much enjoyed the "On the Bayou" mixed seafood platter and my wife had a good chicken pasta dish. Salad and sides were tasty and we had a reasonable wine by the... More

We had a nice time at Drusilla's. The food was good with a good variety of seafood dishes. I expected a little more since they were highly recommended. The service was a little lacking but i think we would give this place one more visit.

Our local driver recommended this place for our group as it was near the hotel. We had not had a good dining experience as a group in the hotel and wanted something local and good. This has good ambiance but several of us did not enjoy our meal. The shrimp was small, the etouffe tasted like stuffing, and actually the... More
