Good Place

Great Food and Great Service. Had some fun and unique bistro fare. The lobster crepe was fantastic as was the crab cannelloni. The seating was a bit crowded and the place was a little loud, but not to the extent that a conversation was difficult. I'd go back again.

We came in for a birthday celebration lunch. Although it was crowded in the room where we were seated, we could enjoy our conversation without competing with room noise. The food was divine! Two of us ordered the Eggplant Camellia, featuring fried eggplant with lump crabmeat and a dill sauce on top. It was outstanding! One person enjoyed a salad,... More

No surprise when we learned that this restaurant belongs to the same restaurant family as the outstanding Mansur's restaurant in Baton Rouge. Indeed, it lives up to the highly expected standard in food, service, wine selection and atmosphere. We have enjoyed the stuffed oysters, grilled oysters, salmon, crepe entrees, fried asparagus, crab cakes and pastas pastas, as well as interesting... More

Something is wrong with this rating system. A place that sells wine and cigars is not only in competition here, they don't even serve food. Coffee houses and do nut places are also in this category. This makes no sense at all. Then, when I look at French Market Bistro's reviews, they are wayyyyy up there. But their rating is... More

We dined with 2 other couples after hearing great things about restaurant. Our wine expert ordered 2 medium priced wines, 1 red, 1 white for table. White wine arrived 1st and while they were out of our choice, waitress offered a more expensive "equivalent" to Sauvigon Blanc for same price. Upon starting to taste wine, found that all wine glasses... More

Whether you order it "Blackened" as I did...or on a Cedar Plank like my wife orders it....it actually melts in your mouth. .

Went last night. They had just finished their renovations ten days ago. When we got to our table, the napkins, silverware, and glasses were dirty. Even the new ones they gave us. I got grilled chicken breast with pasta. The pasta to chicken ratio was off. A small chicken breast on a pot of pasta. The highlight of the night... More

What kind of "bistro" can't even cook a steak? This is the worst restaurant in Baton Rouge owned by Mansur's that also has gone terribly downhill. This was without a doubt the WORST and most expensive ($175 for two) meals I have ever had in my LIFE. If you had told me that anyone could use ingredients of the quality... More

The cream of brie and crabmeat soup was excellent, and went very well with the fried shrimp po-boy that followed. The waitresses were all very young, not necessarily knowledgeable wrt questions about the area or the menu, but otherwise very attentive, quick, and very pleasant. We've been there 3 or 4 times, and still have not sampled one of the... More
