Who Needs Fancy?

I've dined at lunch only. Breakfast and lunch are it; they close at 2:30. A great local spot; not to be missed. It's reputation is solid; and in my visits; well deserved. Friendly servers; and great food. Don't miss it.

We came for breakfast, and enjoyed the meal and ambiance. Big plates with a good amount of food for a good price. The service was great and staff was friendly. The coffee mugs are a mix, which I found cute. We will be returning.

You will not leave hungry. Food of all kinds but was there for breakfast which was very good. Was crowded though and kind of loud. Neat little gift shop while you wait for table.

This was not my first visit to Frank's and I hope it's not my last. Pick a breakfast you like. If Frank's doesn't have it, you're not country folk. This is good home cooking with Louisiana accents like the Amite Omelette (alligator) that my guest had or the Louisians Omelette (jambalaya) that I had. Of course you have to try... More

Food is very good. Plan to wait, but the gift shop has a lot of neat things. I had an omelette and it was great.

As a Texan searching in Baton Rouge I have given up my quest for a phenomenal Texas Chicken Fried Steak and have reduced myself to scouring the city for a decent Chicken Fried Steak. Someone had mentioned to try Frank's. I ordered with blackened peas mashed potatoes and a salad. The salad was what I call a "cost cutter salad"... More

Breakfast anytime & lunch specials, what more can you ask for in a resturant? Great bar-b-que, of course! It is all here at Frank's!

Everything was cooked perfectly and the gravy is out of this world. My dad got the fried chicken and my mom had a salad. Everything was delicious and the server was so funny. She was great. This is one of my favorite lunch stops.

Best breakfast! Everything I ate was good. The sausage is down home southern, eggs, grits, homemade biscuits, and sausage and gravy. OMG. Then I tried the BBQ for lunch. They have the best brisket I've ever had! Their BBQ sauce is good too.

Its served hot and with a smile. Franks is a well known hang out for many Louisiana and Baton Rouge Politicos. A great place to do business over breakfast. Cracker Barrel is better but if you're on this side of town go to Franks.
