old time feel, good food

Go here often for lunches with co-workers during the week. Place has an old school type feel to it and some very good food. I tell myself every time i go that i will try something new but i always go with the red beans and rice and haven't been disappointed yet!!

My wife an I ate at Frank's for the first time. We went around 1030am on a Monday and missed both the breakfast and lunch rushes. I had the Cajun Eggs Benedict and my wife had the New Orleans French Toast. The portions were large and both of us left full. We loved the food. The service was great. It... More

Went for breakfast as we used to when we lived in Baton Rouge 23 years ago. We are British, so not complete experts on bisuits, but I could easily believe their claim that these are the best in the world... fantastic! !!! I had spicy boudin, eggs and hash browns as well. Great service and lively surroundings. Best breakfast in... More

We go for brunch usually. The breakfast is great. I get the French toast every time, it is good. My husband gets the BBQ, he gets the pulled pork. It's always moist. Their biscuits are huge and perfectly delicious! Servers are always friendly. Great atmosphere!

We go to Franks for breakfast, and its an old fashioned one with homemade biscuits, sausage links or pattys, grits, pancakes, syrup, hash browns, etc. Get the picture! Lots of memorabilia to look at while you wait.

Frank's is an experience all its own, from the cafeteria tables and plastic chairs to the waitresses who have probably worked here since day one. A great place to take visitors who want a real local experience. The food is hearty and flavorful and plenty of it.

You've got to try the alligator sausage! I was surprised by how delicious it was. They have awesome jambalaya omelettes, butterfinger pancakes, just about everything is great.

Franks Smokehouse is actually next door to the Restaurant. I ate here a few times and this place is great for breakfast. Several different kinds of their homemade sausage. I tried the alligator sausage but I loved the Boudin sausage! If you leave without having the biscuits then you have missed something. If the biscuits were any flakier they would... More
