Before traveling to Louisiana, I had two people highly recommend Mike Anderson’s. It is located in Baton Rouge, LA. We were visiting Baton Rouge for a couple of days while on a business trip. I am so thrilled Mike Anderson’s restaurant was recommended to us. It was one of the best seafood restaurants I have ever tried. The fact that... More

We hadn't eaten here in about 10 years, so when we passed it we decided to turn around and give it a try. Sure glad we did, we enjoyed the best Cajun seafood we have had in years. We had oysters served three different ways, seafood gumbo, plus a seafood platter. Must say it was the best seafood we have... More

Have eaten here many times. Seafood is always fresh and very good. Good atmosphere. Service is sometimes a little slow, but food is worth the wait.

We waited a good 15 minutes to even get waited on, and had to track down a waiter to take our order. He apologized profusely and said it was a miscommunication. He was very nice (Frank was his name.) He was actually leaving, so we had another waitress, who was just as nice and took care of us. The food... More

After a disappointing dinner at one of Baton Rouge's most highly-touted restaurants, I was glad to have the chance the next day to return to the Mike Anderson's on Lee Drive in Baton Rouge. The Tuesday lunch special, the South Louisiana shrimp and crab patties, was well-seasoned and ample in size, and the cole slaw that came with the lunch... More

We are from Minnesota and were looking for a restaurant that served fresh not fried seafood. I was hoping to find big oysters that were neither raw or fried. The server suggested the oysters on the half shell for $9 for six or $15 for a dozen. They were just shucked after I ordered and were served with two types... More

I've eaten at Mike's a couple of times while in town and have had a great experience both times. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Go early or make a reservation. It's always busy.

We took some friends of ours, who used to live in Baton Rouge, to Mike Anderson's not long ago. We were quite disappointed in how much the food quality has dropped. I'm not sure if it is run by the some people, since it use rebuild after a devastating fire a couple years ago. Don't think I can recommend it... More
