Very Good, Great Lunch Specials

Several of us went for lunch. Ordered a variety of things. Lunch specials were very good and at a pretty reasonable price. Other items could get a little pricey. Got a shrimp po boy, not typical New Orleans, but very good. Good beer in ice cold mugs. Absolute go back.

A legendary local restaurant, but not as good as it used to be. New locations don't quite capture the flavor of the original. A bit pricey but clean and good wait staff.

We went here for their Oysters and loved the raw on half shell and the charboiled were the best I ever ate. I would highly recommend them. Also, enjoyed the gumbo and the catfish.

We were coming thru Baton Rouge towards Houston and once again it was a great meal. We have eaten there for years as we are in BR several times a year. It has become a family meeting place to get together with cousins and family. Never ceases to be just right for our get togethers.

Mike Anderson's Seafood has been the first choice of years of Baton Rouge folks looking for good seafood. It's always good, really good. This is the food we take our out-of-town visitors to eat. Try the onion rings, the gumbo and any of the specialty dishes. But, it will be crowded. You will have to wait for a table if... More

We came for my wife's birthday, and the food was not bad, it just was not that memorable. For an appetizer, we had the stuffed jalapenos. They were ok, but could have used a little more seasoning in the batter. My wife had the shrimp dinner, which had shrimp prepared 7 different ways. I sampled a little of it and... More

We knew there would be a wait. It was a Saturday night. But it was NOT worth the wait. Service was very poor and food was even worse. Way overpriced too!! They 2for1 on Margarita but only got 1 and was pure triple sec and they refused to give me my 2nd one since receipt was wiped off the bar... More

Anderson's is a popular restaurant in Baton Rouge. Mike Anderson is an area sports hero. The restaurant was roomy, comfortable, not overly noisy, with fast wait staff. The food was good, mainly, but not exclusively, fried seafood. The folks I dined with had crab and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the catfish. I was good as well.

The best seafood I've had since moving here from North Carolina. The chargrilled oysters on the half shell are amazing, cold beer, nice crowd, and great service from the staff!
