Seafood to die for

I visit this restaurant quite frequently. I love the seafood gumbo. The salads are very tasty. The portions are filling and doesn't leave you wanting more. Be prepared to get a box for the extra food. This is a favorite of many here in town.

I have gone to this restaurant for many years. I usually eat their Thursday and Friday lunch specials (Norman and Lafitte). They also have the best seafood dressing and hush puppies in the city. In addition, their coleslaw has a unique vinegar flavor that is very tasty. I like all their fried foods. The staff and managers are very nice.

Wonderful salads with plenty of fresh seafood. House dressing is a must that compliments the seafood not overpowering.

My family and I went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago and had a good time. The prices or affordable and the food is good. The customer service is professional and courteous. We have been to a few seafood restaurants in town that had bad customers service and this place is not one of them. They will take... More

On May 16 th, we dined at Mike Andersons. We hadn't eaten there in years, and decided to go. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. We watched oyster shucking, and to our surprise, while grilling a batch of oysters (yes the were on fire) the guy "blew out the flames"! Yikes. Well, we won't order oysters. We were... More

I always take out of towners to Sammy's on Highland,, but it was packed. Thought I'd give Mike's another try from the last time. Still bad food. We ordered the broiled seafood platter and all the food was bland and unappetizing. There is nothing like good food and this was nothing like good food. Maybe the people from out of... More

I was taken there for a quick lunch with a friend. From the outside it didn't look like much, until I walked inside and got my food. It was relish and exactly what I hoped for.

My friend from Baton Rouge took our group of 5 guys here for a "taste" of southern seafood. The place was packed so we waited in the bar area and watched oysters being shucked. The guy offered us a couple to try and they were really good. He said we needed to try their charbroiled oysters, which I hadn't heard... More
