Dinner in "the bar"

There were eight of us in a group. When we arrived, we were told that we had to wait 20 minutes. I pointed to a large empty table nearby and was asked, "Would you mind eating in the bar?" That is where we comfortably had an excellent dinner. It wasn't dark or anything that I would associate with... read more

This was recommended by the driver at our hotel so we took the entire board. Great selection of drinks and food. Most of us ordered seafood and it tasted amazing. Tasty crab and oysters!

I've eaten here twice for dinner and honestly don't see what the fuss is about. The last time I was there, with 5 in our party, the service was only OK and our food was....mediocre. We all ordered different meals and none of us were really enthusiastic, and this included three college-aged guys who were hungry and probably not connoisseurs.... More

The Seafood platter is abundant & simply the best I've ever had outside of La Rochelle France. Louisiana is the place for seafood, Mike Anderson's is the place in Louisiana.

My wife & I eat at the Central location regularly. The lunch specials are exceptional in both price and value. We've eaten seafood all around New Orleans (Acme, Deanie's, Drago's), Baton Rouge and lots of other places (i.e. San Francisco prawn on the waterfront, Maine Lobster in Bar Harbor) and besides the great lobsters in Boston & Maine, this is... We took our daughter and 4&6 y/o granddaughters to dinner. It is a very family friendly restaurant, We had charbroiled oysters and fried crabfingers for appetizers. The oysters were very good and the girls loved the crabfingers. The girls had the shrimp and fish plates from the kids menu. They were reasonably priced with generous portions. They bought out the... I arrived around 6:30 pm on Sunday. There was a wait but not only 10 minutes. I loved the layout of the resturant and the staff was very friendly and well trained. I had the stuff mushrooms for an Appetizer and the Tenderloin for dinner. Both were very good and the steak was cooked to perfection. Next time I go... More

Was there with a large group (3 tour charter buses full). We were fed buffet style so the choices were limited. Crab filled mushrooms for appetizers were very good. The food was good, beer was cold and the Cajun band was real good. Overall, pretty good experience for a large group. I'd like to go back and order off the... More
