Went here to have a late lunch during move-in day for my eldest who is starting as a freshmen here at LSU. The restaurant is right at the entrance of campus and so not surprisingly is a famous campus institution/tradition. The service was good, the ambiance is more sports-pub-like, so a little on the loud side as one might expect.... More

The Chimes is legendary for great beer and quality food. Lunch and dinner are great every day, and the restaurant is almost always full or close to it. Great place to go before any event at LSU. They always have fresh oysters on the half shell. The menu selection is broad and suits all tastes. Mostly students and young adults... More

One of my favorite places in campus. Very good food, nice atmosphere and warm service. Don't hesitate going there, it will be a great experience.

Excellent food! Great ambiance! Good memories. As an LSU alumni, this place is landmark. My daughters loved it also. Since one of them is now a Tiger, I am looking forward to future visits.

A Baton Rouge staple! Great food and an expansive beer selection. Since it's just on the edge of campus, it's a place that is fond in the hearts of LSU students.

I always enjoy the meals at Chimes and I have never been disappointed, but overall the food is average. Since Baton Rouge and Louisiana in general has so many great places to eat, I wouldn’t rate Chimes as a top place. I highly recommend the seafood gumbo though – simply delicious! I also like the shrimp po-boy.
