Wonderful Dining!

I had a great private dining area downstairs, and I hosted a wonderful dinner there! The group I was with loved the venue. The servers (Rebecca - private dining coordinator - and Peyton) were great! They were extremely attentive and were very prompt with our orders. I would highly recommend this... read more

Took the family to Spanish Town Mardi Gras and ate here Saturday evening...We had fried pickles, crawfish etouffe, steak, seafood gumbo, boudin balls, alligator....it was all perfect! Definitely the place to eat if ya want a little of everything and their beer list is unbelievable.

I've dined here several times and I am not the type to return if it's not happening. The menu is versatile with plenty of Louisiana-type dishes without going overboard Cajun. Many of you know what I mean. A well-stocked bar and busy atmosphere keep it jumping. I will say that you don't care a packed house, avoid dining during the... More

Authentic delicious Louisiana food and an amazing tap beer selection. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Late afternoons and evenings are for adults but lunch is great for families. When oysters are season they have the best.

Every time I've dined at The Chimes, it has been a wonderful experience. The service is good and even though there's usually a little bit of a wait, it is well worth it in the end. Food is consistently good and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. If you want to try good Louisiana cuisine, this is the place... More

This place has great food at great prices. It is right off of the LSU campus and is a place that LSU students have frequented for years. However, it is not just full of LSU students...everyone in Baton Rouge loves this place. They have over 100 beers on tap.

Was pretty good and reasonably priced..went 4 lunch. I had oysters n gumbo..friend had steak salad. Salad was great, steak tasty and cooked right 0and the ranch was very fresh tasting, we really appreciated that..raw oysters left something to be desired and the presentation was crappy (just on an ice platter with no ice, I'm assuming an honest mistake surely... Went here based on the review from this site and mainly for the beers. It's really low-key and super casual. It's got a "local hang-out" vibe. Near the campus, it has a student atmosphere. The service was typical of a college town, good not great. Food came out on time and correct. Took a while to get drinks though. Presentation... More

Great food and fabulous atmosphere! And if you like beer, they've got one for you with over 60 different kinds on tap! Try their Blackened Shrimp Remoulade, the Crawfish Etouffe and the Red Beans and Rice - all Louisiana favorites.

It was just too loud for us. Definitely a place for the students and i can imagine loving this place when I was 20. Long wait was also taxing for a family with small children.
