Really good food at a really good price - right by LSU. Nice little bar. lots of young folks, but good for all.

A nice place close to LSU campus that offers many varieties of beer. The food is decent. Nothing special but good enough that I've never turned down a trip to the Chimes. I've gone there a number of times and I'm sure I'll visit a few more before I'm done with Baton Rouge.

They go through enough oysters so that they always have fresh big ones. They have another very nice Chimes in Covington. Consistently good.

The Chimes has 2 locations, being this one is the original, it's located in the heart of Tigerland and a great place to experience some college atmosphere. It's great lunch spot and during the day it's quieter but still busy. For dinner you could experience some of the nightlife crowd, but still have a pleasant experience. The Chimes exceeds at... More

Only went a few times, but mostly for brunch. They do a good bloody mary, and have tons of beers. Brunch items were mostly things with a cajun twist. Very good. The regular menu had some good items too. Would definitely go back.

My kind of place !!! At least 80 beers on tap so there is something for everyone's tastes. Very good menu to choose from as well so you are able to try something local. We sat at the bar which was the best seats in the place! Bar tenders make you feel very welcome!

I personally don't have any problem with the Chimes but most people say that its menu selections are just ordinary. Thought of mainly as a burger and fried food joint by my circle of acquaintances, it's not some place you would send a visitor to our fair city. The Chimes is popular with the college crowd, business lunch people, and... More

Delicious Food. Almost always great service. Husband especially likes the gumbo. Only drawback is, it is very noisy. We quit going there with friends b/c it was stressful trying to hear each other. We are past that"bar mentality," I guess. We go to both locations, but hearing isn't an option. No sound engineer worked on design . . . all... More
