Ninfas, a sister restaurant to TJ Ribs and Chris Steakhouse is a consistently good Mexican restaurant, If not the best Mexican in Baton Rouge one of them. Parking is sparse and wait times can be long but its worth it.

Friendly staff. The food was great, as well as the drinks. They went a step beyond most Mexican restaurants with the chips and salsa appetizer and brought out a couple of different dip options. I sat in the bar area and enjoyed the live music. Seems to be popular with the locals. They offer food/drink specials all week.

Best cheese enchiladas ever! Everything is enormous though....one tamale looks like a half casserole portion. Bring a hearty appetite or split an entree with someone. Prices are high but as I mentioned, the portions are very large. Parking can be tricky but the food is worth it.

Stopped in during a rain storm for a late lunch to go. The folks who greeted me were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. My order was in and out in no time, and since I was taking it back to my hotel, they already packed utencils - not everyone does. Nice touch. The food was very good and the folks... More

Terrible atmosphere. Was seated next to a table with children and the children were out of control. They were running up and down the stairs and no one corrected them.

I have gone to this place for years. Not my favorite restaurant and it's not what I would bring an out of town guest unless they want a good Margarita. The meals are a little on the expensive side but I noticed recently that they have added new items to the menu to their already huge and overwhelming menu. Parking... More

I don't see why this place is always packed. I think its because of the proximity of so many hotels. Food is just OK, drinks are sub par, margarita mix tastes like chemicals and they and very expensive. There are other far better Tex-Mex places in town to go to.

The food was overrated and overpriced. Plus the place was way too loud. It was walking distance of our hotel, but I' drive somewhere else next time.

Traveling from Pensacola to Houston and stopped in Baton Rouge for dinner. It was Friday night and packed. There was a rowdy crowd where we were initially seated, but the staff immediately moved us to another table. The waiter, Carlos, was friendly and attentive and our food came out of the kitchen really quickly! Fajitas were tender, flavorful, and plentiful!... More
