This was my first visit and what a lovely surprise this little eatery served up with the atmosphere, service and food/drink offerings. Everything is freshly made including the Italian Sodas. Service was extremely delightful and on point. Atmosphere was very different from most dining venues in Baton Rouge...actually felt like I was in Europe. Definitely worth a stop for your... More

I met my friend to have lunch. It was her first time and she asked me what to get. I said I don't know because the menu is always different. You know why? They only serve fresh food. I love that! It is always delicious. I love guessing what herbs they used this time to give such a twist to... More

Latte seems to be a special little secret tucked away on Jefferson. The local ingredients are cooked to perfection in magical ways. The Porchetta sandwich is like a dream, flavors compliment and intensify each other. Your mouth will leave smiling! The gelato and yogurt are unmatched, as good as in Italy. The cherry vanilla yogurt should be packaged and sold... More

We first heard of Latte e Miele from our son. Having been to Italy over 30 times, I was very skeptical about the authenticity of the gelato. We went, and were pleasentlty surprised. It was as good as my son said it was. My wife in particularly enjoyed the Menta flavor. The espresso was good and the biscotti were authentic.... More

This is a magnificent gelato place with a very friendly staff. A great place for a break from one's busy day. Soon, I hear, they will be serving dinner also. Can't wait. When in Baton Rouge this is a must.

Since Latte e Miele opened their new location on Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge, LA, it has become a weekly tradition for my wife, myself and our teenage granddaughter (often accompanied by her boyfriend). My "usual" is a coffee, with only a splash of steamed milk, which the attentive staff has named "The Tip-u-cinno." It is consistently delicious. The others... More

Used to treat myself to gelato at Latte e Miele when I lived in the states. It's not far from LSU, but closer to Blue Bayou. The owner is Italian and serves proper gelato like nothing you've ever had. Why he is in Louisiana, I do not know... but he has given us a pricelss gift! Plenty of flavors to... More

I have had breakfast at Latte e Miele about five times and lunch once. I probably will never go back. Though the coffee and the food is very good you will not be able to hear yourself think much less talk to a companion. We sat outside once for breakfast and the traffic going by on Jefferson Highway made it... More

Consider this the most inexpensive trip to Italy that you may ever take. Latte e Miele has the look, feel, and most importantly- the taste of the authentic Italian gelato experience. (The Italian-run business makes the motherland proud.) A native of Baton Rouge, I have been here countless times and consider it one of the best little finds of the... More

I stopped in here on my road trip home from New Orleans on the way home (Houston). My friend wanted something sweet. The little shop is adorable from the inside out. The little white building fits the Italian theme, complete with blue wooden shutters. The inside is extremely clean and spacious, with a cute display and front counter. They serve... More
