Perfect weekend dinner

I've only been here once since I moved to Baton Rouge but I thoroughly enjoyed it. We got the steak with horseradish sauce and the shrimp n grits...they were both amazing. It was everything I've heard it was. Definitely going on my list of favorite dinner places.

After several visits to Zea's in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, they still continue to impress me with their quality and variety of dishes. My son had just discovered the Redbeans and Fried Chicken combo that he said is the creamiest and tasty even better than Popeye's Redbeans. You have to try there Asian/Almond Shrimp appetizer. Although the number of... More

Second time here. First time was good. Service not great this time. Ordered chicken sandwich and got grilled breast. Sent back. Friends done with lunch by the time I got mine. Probably isolated incident. Rating based on this visit only. Would go again.

My first visit to Zea's and they did not disappoint. The wait staff were super friendly. The food and craft beer was exceptional. Nice quiet and very clean restaurant. Highly recommend. I had the lamb sirloin in a mustard au jus with braised cabbage and quinoa. Fantastic food here!

Like hummus? The Mediterranean hummus appetizer is like no other hummus in existence! Sun dried tomatoes, garlic, olive oil...amazing! And the rotisserie chicken? Perfection!

We had a great meal here with great service. For starters, we ordered the large order (4) of Duck Empanadas ($11.50). One daughter had the Shrimp Breaux Bridge which was Gulf shrimp sautéed in garlic & herbs, penne pasta in spicy cream sauce ($14.50). My husband and other daughter had the Shrimp & Grits roasted corn grits, shrimp, andouille, etouffee... More

We went here for lunch and had a great meal. I had the rotisserie chicken with a garlic and herb rub - truly wonderful! It was moist, tender, and flavorful. My husband had the Thai ribs and they too were outstanding! The sides were also terrific. Wait staff were friendly and service was timely. A definite do over when next... More

Based upon reviews, I was expecting a more refined dinner. The food was good, portions large, and service quite nice. But the selections were in line with a chain restaurant, and the food tasted comparable. However, I can not really pick on the value.

Daily specials are wonderful! Monday is Pork Roast with rosemary garlic glace. It was cooked to perfection. The Korean Beef tacos were tasty as well. No room for desert. Can't wait to go back to Baton Rouge so I can eat here again.

Duck n grits are pretty good. The "famous" Zea salad with the pepper jelly dressing is a lot about greens and sweet dressing. They've modified their spices and added more cumin than they used to have, perhaps to accommodate the current mexican spice craze, but I think this detracts from what made it so delicious in the past. Definitely give... More
