I love coming to Louisiana to begin with, and eating the cuisine is just another bonus!! But I have to admit, the food at DI's is some of the BEST I have ever eaten!!! My brother in law and sister took my family here and we ate with abandon!!! The taste was incredible!!! Everything was so fresh and flavorful! I... More

You will never experience anything as exciting as witnessing the Mardi Gras running through DI's restaurant! Even if you go on an ordinary night, this restaurant has a spectacular menu (go for the crawfish: fresh, peppery and delicious!) and exceptional service. Food is served promptly and there is more than enough on each plate. The drinks are a bonus (Margarita?... More

Favorite local resturant. Food always consistent. All the food is awesome but the Bar-B-Q crabs will make you slap your Mama their so good. My grand kids love the crabs and fried alligator bites.

Our group of 8 was seated promptly with no reservation, and no waiting list. It was a Wednesday evening and no entertainment, so not a large dining crowd. We had a broad range of food--crawfish, seafood platter, blackened oysters, Po' Boy, even a chicken salad sandwich. Everyone gave their meal a hearty "thumbs up".. The service was prompt, orders were... More

First off let me say that some of these reviews are not true. I go to D.I.'s all the time and ANYONE can dance on the dance floor including kids. I actually have video proof for that. It's such a friendly place and the waiters are always so sweet there. It's very very Cajun. Me and my fiancé love it... More

I went to DI's with my husband's family, who are all from around the Basile area. My ratings: Food: 3 stars - Not bad but nothing special. Just average- ours was cold after it taking 2 HOURS to order and receive it. Service: 1 star - the service was unacceptably slow with a ill mannered non-caring waitress who not once... More

We hit prom night and loved seeing the kids dressed to kill and eating crawfish. Anyway, we got to DI's just as business started picking up (5:30). Salads were brought drenched in dressing so weren't very edible BUT the fried veggie appetizer, crawfish platter, gumbo, BBQ shrimp were all perfectly spicey! Gumbo was rich coffee colored! BBQ wasn't typical BBQ... More

While searching the internet for a good restaurant (with crawfish) in that area, I found D.I.'s Cajun Restaurant. We had dinner there on March 26th (our 53rd wedding anniversary). We ordered boiled crawfish and fried oyster/shrimp platters. The "large" crawfish were the best we have ever eaten, with just the right seasoning, spicy, but not hot. The oyster/shrimp platters were... More

Great environment. Always a stop on our trip. Best during crawfish season, and Mardi Gras!!! Reservations recommended. Always full on the weekends!
