As far as Mexican food goes it can be really hit and miss. This place hits every time. Great menu, great prices, and great staff. The place is also very clean. I am lucky to live near this restaurant but if you like Mexican food it is worth the drive if you live farther out.

I have been here a few times. The food and the service is always good. The salsa is not too hot, just right. I would recommend this to anyone.

We eat here on a frequent basis. I try to order a new item each time, and have yet to have any thing bad. The service is always friendly and fast. Always a good crowd.

6 of us had just visited Verona Vineyard and were extremely hungry. We found ourselves at El Toro on the recommendation of locals. "This is the best Mexican food I have ever eaten" were the final words of my husband and I had to agree. Often the food can be bland but the salsa was spicy and we loved it!... More

Have eaten at this restaurant several times as it is close to where I live. The service is always very fast and most of the time the staff is friendly and attentive. As a family, we have eaten many different items for the menu. The best way to descibe the food is average. Everything is good, just not outstanding. The... More

After living in Texas for 6.5 years, finding good Mexican is very hard outside of Texas. El Toro is good for Kentucky but I would rate it average for Texas. They have a really great dish called Acapulco Special. It has shrimp, chicken, beef mixed into cheesy rice with lettuce that's on the side, Very Good!!! It comes with tortillas,... More

We eat at El Toro frequently, and feel that even though it is in a strip mall, the atmosphere is good, and the food, is simple, but great mexican cuisine. The shrimp tacos are great and the staff is friendly, and attentive.

I love Mexican food and they did not disappoint. The picture of Margaritas on the rocks, very nice. The food and salsas tasty, as usual we could even consider desert, too full.

We visited El Toro the other night and found the restaurant to be extremely busy on a Tuesday night. There was a 40th Birthday party going on outside on the patio and the tables were quite filled. We were seated quickly and wondered what kind of service we'd receive with it being so busy. Immediately we received our chips/drinks and... More

This turned out to be a pleasant oasis as we drove from Louisville to Cincinnati. Don't be fooled by the strip mall location...this place is good. They have a wide variety of Mexican food on their menu. I had the Chori-Pollo Quesadilla and it was great! Their guac is very tasty, but their salsa was a little heavy on the... More
