Great Food, Great Service

I had the pleasure of eating at Ricardo's several times, while in Versailles. The selection is very good, each choice was served hot and was delicious. The chicken quesadilla is one of the best I've had anywhere. I'm told that the Kentucky Hot Brown is to die for. Every chairperson we had was... read more

Ricardo’s has some of the best Kentucky Hot Browns (hot sandwiches of ham, turkey, bacon, and tomato, covered with mornay sauce) and makes a great stop for anyone driving the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. We’ve ordered both full and half portions. The full portions have been great. The half portion could have used a little more sauce. Fried green tomatoes with... More

Flew into Lexington today to visit friends in Danville. On the way there happen to run across Ricardo's. What a pleasant surprise. It starts with the restaurant being located in an old train depot built in 1885. The building was quaint and beautifully appointed. The food was even better. After we advised the server that this was the first time... More

Homemade dressing really made a difference on the wedge salad - I ordered bleu cheese dressing - awesome!

My husband & I have dear friends that we regularly visit in Kentucky. Each trip we make, they try to take us to different places to eat. On our most recent visit, they took us through Versailles. (What a lovely little community!) Anyway...they asked if we'd like to give Ricardo's a try. (The name is,for me, a bit misleading. Made... More

We went with local friends on a Saturday night, so the wait was LONG, it was LOUD, and the food wasn't really worth waiting for. Kind of pricey, too. Service was OK. Nothing special. Note to management; please list the main ingredients of a dish on the menu. I had to waste a meal and return it because the description... More

We had a late Sunday afternoon lunch there. I had beer battered fish with their home made chips. Just the right amount to eat. My friend had veal parm sandwich w/home made chips as well. His remark was "wicked good". The atmosphere was nice, and the service was right on. A really nice place in a small town. .

While staying at a local B & B we found a menu and decided to have dinner. We enjoyed our meals, steak dinner and shrimp and grits. Service was good and food was good as well. Décor was well appointed. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the area.

My wife and I went to Midway to explore on a Saturday. We wound up at Richardo's for lunch on the recommendation of someone we met in a shop. Austin was our server and he really knows his business and did not steer us wrong on any course. We started with potato soup. Rich and creamy and very filling. My... More

Walked in and seated quickly. Very busy and a little noisy. Server came quickly and took our order. We had experienced a long day in Lexington for the Senior Pride Initiative and were very exhausted. Brian was our server and quite astute and efficient. I had the Shepherds Pie and didn't really care for it. Should have chosen something more... More
