It has history and good food

If you think about it, and think about it hard, Miguels might have just been in the right place at the right time. It is now pretty crowded with people and has become kinda a tourist destination. I hope it doesn't have to become a tourist destination. I hope that it can grow and accommodate the wide variety of people... More

We'd visited Miguels many years ago and remembered it well and we were surprised that it was still there and still quirky. We got pizza in the restaurant and then went to the picnic tables below to wait and eat. The campers were making their food and hanging out and we played card games. Not fancy at all, but unique... We go every time we visit the gorge. It's the best pizza I've ever had. Get it any way you like, many toppings to choose from.

Miguel's is the perfect place for climbing trips! The food is delicious and they allow you to build your own pizza, breakfast burritos, etc. They also have plenty of vegan/vegetarian options! The camping available onsite has restrooms and showers, and Miguels also sells climbing gear, shoes, hoodies, tees, and random things you may have forgotten to bring from home.

it's one of the a few restaurants in Red. Friendly staff, create your own pizza and their cute T-shirts!

Miguel's is a well-known spot for climbers and hikers, as evidenced by the crowd. The pizza is quite tasty, but we enjoyed the ambiance the most. We ate downstairs in the basement, surrounded by a diverse group of climbers (who were most likely camping or staying in one of the other very affordable lodging options provided by Miguel's). They have... More

Stopped in here after hiking this morning, as it's well known in the area, but I had never been. Ordered a large (8 slice) bacon ham pineapple mushroom jalapeño and potato slice pizza, and it was delicious. Considering it was lunch time, it came out quickly. The full list of availability toppings is too large for this; just know if... More

Miguel’s Pizza..delicious, weird, kinda messy, but we like it. Here's a video of my climbing trip to Kentucky! There's some Miguel's footage in there: http://www.bucketthis.com/rock-climbing-at-the-red-river-gorge-kentucky-usa/ You have failed in your journey to The Red if you did not consume a greasy wheel of delicious at Miguel’s Pizza. Besides the homemade legendrie that keeps the home fires lit (including 45 topping... More

we stopped after a day of climbing and ordered two slices each. After 30 minutes the guy came outside to a dirty picnic table and dropped our pizza on the dirt. About 30 minutes more they had delivered one half of our order but half the order was lost. They gave me the money back after an hour but were... More

I don't remember climbing at Red and not having Pizza at Miguel's. In the last three years I have never been disappointed. If you are in the area, go to Miguel's - you will not only enjoy a great pizza, but you will also get a taste of the climbing community. The camping is really cheap at $2, so it... More
