First time to Science Hill. Outstanding selections for a buffet. The best fried chicken we have had in a long time. Deserts were very unique AND original. All in an "Old Kentucky" setting dating back 150 years. YES, we will be back!

My son and I went to Science Hill for lunch today thinking it would be a special place to celebrate his birthday. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time. The hostess was overly abrupt and told us to "go away" until our reservation time. When seated the waiter was short and clearly wanted us out of his table quickly... More

Many of their staff have been there 25 years or more. A friend took me here for lunch the week the Christmas decorations went up. Lovely!!! I had the shrimp and grits, but the big standout was their bread pudding. Delicious!

It had been ages since my last visit to Science Hill. The service and historic atmosphere remained unchainged. Our server was very friendly and enjoyed telling us about the food, the chef, and whatever else we had questions about. The food was well prepared in classic southern interpretations of old favorites. I regretted not giving the trout a try, since... More

My wife and I had lunch here today. We had a very nice waitress who did a great job. Unfortunately, the food here just doesn't knock it out of the park for us. We had the shrimp and grits which was on the cold side and the grits were clumpy. We also had the fried chicken which we felt was... More

You need to try the Sunday buffet . It is pricy at $25 per person but the fried chicken is better than the colonels , and the homemade biscuits and country ham can't be beat. Finish off with the bread pudding and bourbon sauce.

Lived in Kentucky all my life and this was my first visit and it will surely not be my last. The dining room is very quaint, white table cloths and impeccable service. It's only open for lunch and closed on Monday. I had the beef burgundy with vegetables over noodles. The taste was marvelous. My husband had the Hot Brown... More

I hadn't been back to Science Hill for many years, but it was still fantastic. The hot water biscuits are to die for and they serve them generously. The fried chicken superb and the mashed potatoes with bits of country ham perfect. We had to order the bread pudding made out of those same biscuits with bourbon sauce. It was... More

We took a bus to this wonderful place to eat.We enjoyed visiting the shops while we waited to be seated some friends found some wonderful clothing that was really low priced on sale. We were seated at round tables with friends from our church. everything on the menu was delicious as others at our table had different foods. I had... More
