The most delicious comfort food

We were part of a large group, seated in our own room. First, hot, fresh rolls were served. They brought refills as desired. Then salad was served. Next came the chicken, followed by sides, served family style. The sides were amazing: beats, spinach casserole, fried apples, stewed tomatoes, mock... read more

Wonderful homecooked southern food in a beautiful house with great decorations. My boyfriend and I went to a luncheon here as part of the Pontiac Convention, and we both went away extremely stuffed. Too bad I ate too much of the buffet food so that I couldn't try dessert.

We drove out from Louisville to eat here because it had been recommended by a couple of friends and the association with Colonel Saunders. After a long drive we were expecting something special since it advertised fried chicken, country ham, and local atmosphere. As soon as we entered we met a couple with a baby that had been waiting a... More

When we first walked in I was impressed. Hostess escorted us down the hall, past an elegantly looking dining room, everywhere showcasing wonderful equine pictures.. Entered another very expansive dining room featuring a huge fireplace with a large portrait of the Col and Claudia I thought this is KY at it's best. It was pretty much downhill from that point... We discovered this place on a trip a few years ago and now make the 3 hr. drive just to go there a few times a year. They generously serve good down home cooking that melts in your mouth. My favorites are the creamed tomatoes, creamed spinach, chicken & dumplings, home made ham salad and dressings, and melt-in-your mouth biscuits.... More

We really wanted to go to this restaurant, but we assumed that we were unable to since we were traveling with our five pound, obedience trained dog. Then, we happened to see a reviewed from July 14, 2015 entitled "Beyond Finger Licking Good" in which the reviewer praised in detail about being allowed to sit on the veranda with their... More

We just had an enjoyable dinner at Claudia Sanders. We were afraid there was no room in the inn, as cars lined the street and few parking spots were available. Imagine our surprise when the interior was virtually empty of both customers and a host to greet us. The place must be bigger than it looks! We were eventually seated... More

The last time I ate here, Colonel Sanders was working in the garden out back. It must have been 40 years ago. The food, however, hasn't changed a bit. There's good KFC and bad KFC. This place is the Cadillac of KFC. Everyone ordered something different, but it was all good. The Family Dinner is the best deal: Chicken or... More
