Did not meet my expectations.

Chose two of my favourite foods (first mistake?) - they were so camouflaged with a sweet 'sauce' that the delicate flavour of the salmon and the rich flavour of the beets could not be distinguished. Mashed potatoes with 'milk gravy' which looked as unappetizing as it sounds. For a so-called 'fine... read more

I love this place :) I think it's because it reminds me of my rural southern roots. I like that the food is southern-themed and ABUNDANT, just like my family would make. If you leave this place hungry, you must be a Sasquatch or something. Fried chicken? Oh yeah. Country ham? Yummmm! Mashed taters? Uhhuh. Corn bread? I'll take another... More

Myself my Mother, Aunt and cousin drove down from Florence, KY for Easter Brunch. We had 3pm reservations. We got there early and waited about 20mins. for our table. The place is very nice. The Buffet was excellent. There were several veggies and Hot meats, yes, including Chicken. The dessert table was ok. If you are in the area I... More

If you are in or around Louisville, Kentucky Claudia Sanders Dinner House is a must to have dinner at. Awesome value, a lot of history as Mrs Sanders was the Colonels wife. The chicken dinner was FANTASTIC as was the service.

Navy bean soup delicious. Loaded mashed potatoes heavenly. Salad OK. Waitress, poor. Served mom the wrong tea with no lemon. Brought soup and salad and no cornbread. When mom asked for the cornbread, the waitress said, "I had to see to these gentlemen first." No, we were here long before they were even seated. Every reminder of what we had... More

We went to Claudia Sanders Dinner house and choice of ordering from the menu or the buffet. The buffet had a choice of three meats, a large variety of vegetables, a salad bar, and a dessert bar. If you ordered from the menu , you had many options of KFC chicken, one piece or all you can eat. They also had... More

The menu on their website shows which items are gluten free and I'm sure there are some other items you can get and just leave off the gravy or salad dressings. I've never had a problem eating here. Sure, everyone goes for the fried chicken experience but there are those of us who have to make due without the fried... More

Kind of confusing getting seated. There was only one hostess that had to walk over 100 feet to get us to dining area from front door. So, other diners were backed up from confusion over where to go. The food was plentiful, with beef, pork and chicken plus veggies, desserts and salad bar. Kentucky Fried Chicken quality - just so-so.... More

Thirty to 40 couples from the Louisville area met for the buffet dinner. It's an amazing assortment of down-home-style food. Fried chicken is excellent, and there must be 20-some sides: mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken pot pie, stewed tomatoes, creamed spinach, greens, Harvard beets, green beans, barbecued baked beans, etc., plus a soup-and-salad bar and huge dessert table. It's dining... More

My wife and I tried this landmark establishment for lunch on our way to a spring vacation. I had heard about the relationship to Col. Sanders and his "finger lickin" chicken a year or so ago while on a previous vacation in Kentucky. Lunch here is certainly better than fast food but it wasn't as awesome as I expected; sort... More
