We eat here every time we're in town visiting family! We love their schnitzel! We always get the Hungarian and the spice factor is always spot on! They also have great sides! We usually get the marinated salad, home fries, sauerkraut, spatzel and red cabbage! They also have a good beer selection!

I was in Germany for over 3 years and this food is a poor attempt at it. The service is sooo bad I rather write it down myself and mail it in then perhaps it would be faster. The food would be something my dog probably look at and walk away. No flavor, bland and tasteless. If I had no... More

Overall, Caroline's is very good. The food is consistently good. The German pretzel is wonderful. It is served warm and is beyond delicious. The Jäger Schnitzel and Alpine Schnitzel are consistently very good. Service at times lacks focus on the customer and often waiting occurs when first seated as well as during service.

Definitely worth the wait when they are busy, parking is a little tricky during peak hours. We always eat here when we come to visit our son.

I was encouraged by the fact that there was German restaurant close to post. Traveling solo for the next couple of weeks this was a place I wanted to try. I got take out which I should have been more specific in its preparation. I got the Jaegerschnitzel, spetzel, salad, and Black Forest cake. The cake was the best. The... More

Visited with my parents, who've been here 2 or 3 times. 4 of us all made different selections, and truly enjoyed everything. The real favorites were the rouladen, purple cabbage and fried potatoes! As well as the bread pudding for dessert! The waitress....wish I could recall her name...was especially appreciated for her patience in waiting on my dad who now... More

I love German food. I spent 4 years living in Germany and we, from time to time make German food at home. I really wanted to like this restaurant. I don't know where to start so I will just jump right in... The service is the worst I have seen anywhere. Our server took our order and then disappeared till... More

Friends (who had been stationed in Germany for many years) took us here to clue us in as to real German/Bavarian fare. We really learned a lot. I didn't really know what schnitzel was (much less that there are so many varieties). It was cooked to perfection & more than tasty. Red cabbage took some getting used to but was... More

A friend and I had the schnitzel (one Alpine and one Jager), it was very tender and cooked perfectly. One must is the sweet potato fries with a vanilla sauce (yes vanilla), very good. Prices were very fair, around $10. No domestic beers on tap, just German beers and the hefeweizen paired up very well with the food. Service was... More
