Classy Italian

I ate at this restaurant on a busy night in Paducah. There was a christmas concert at the Carson Center, so a party of 5 of us had to eat at the bar due to them being completely booked (like all the restaurants were in Paducah that night). The bartender was very accommodating. I ordered the... read more

I recommended to come here and get the salmon. I am so glad I did. This place was nice and relaxing. First the waitress I had was really nice and accommodating she had suggestions and answered all questions without any problems. I got there as they open so it wasn't busy. But it started to pick up as I left.... More

We've tried all the downtown Paducah restaurants over the past 10 years and always come back to Max's where we find consistently great food, service and our favorite wine on their wine list. Because we know they are often very busy, we always call several days ahead of time to reserve a table especially when there is a performance at... More

My husband and I were staying at the excellent Fox Briar Inn downtown. Our homelike suite had a kitchen, and all we really wanted was a relaxing takeout meal before we walked over to the Christmas concert. Max's Brick Oven is just across the alley, so it seemed like a perfect place to get a pizza and take it home.... More

The restaurant has a small bar with only about six-eight craft beers that are on tap and always rotating presumably to keep me coming back. The bartender is very knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for bringing some of the best crafted beers available into this establishment. I live in Colorado where you cannot throw a rock without hitting a... More

I like to bring business visitors to Max's. Great food, convenient downtown location, good beer selection, and nice, traditional ambiance. The outdoor area is nice in the evening, and covered for colder weather.

My Husband and I chose Max's due to the ratings on Tripadvisor. We love brick oven pizza's. We had steamed mussels for apps and they were good but small portion compared to most I have had at other resturants. We then ordered 2 pizza's. One was the florentine the other was italian sausage. When they got to our table we... More

We chose Max's for it's great location and weren't disappointed. There are many beer choices to compliment the wood fired pizzas and my husband enjoyed the Shepherds pie. Good bread basket and sadly we couldn't fit in a dessert from a very tempting selection. Wonderful decor due to many historical salvages. Friendly, knowledgeable server added to the many positives.

This is always my choice for dinner out. I love the Greek chicken, the Shepherd's Pie, and all of the steaks. The Florentine pizza is also the best. Service has always been good, and I have been going there a long time. They serve the best Creme Brûlée ever, and I always have it.

Dinner is always perfect at Max's. We stopped here after a night at the Paducah Symphony, this was the perfect spot to finish off a perfect night!
