Very good seafood. Unusual dishes like mamoo shrimp are delicious. The shrimp bisque is devine. The have several Cajun offerings as well. Service is a little slow, I think because the cook most of the menu fresh. Tall walls between booths make for a private dinner or romantic interlude.

The best part of the dinner was the atmosphere. Tried it a second and third time with the same results. But loved the cool fishing vibe and the multi stacked open area outside!

We've been coming to Whaler's Catch for years but it's just not the same. This used to be the "go to" place in Paducah but it has slipped. The food is good but not great. The service was good but not great. The decor could use an update. Prices have always been a bit high. Hopefully management will turn this... More

On a long driving trip recently, we spent a night in Paducah, KY and didn't know what to expect for restaurants. The hotel referred us to Whaler's Catch, where we were very pleasantly surprised and impressed. They are located downtown across a parking area from the river. It's a cute restaurant, with a great bar, two stories of outdoor seating,... More

Oh this place had/has potential! I really liked my blackened chicken and my kids loved their catfish, but the decor was dated and the place could use a little dusting. It used to be the go-to- place in town and I really hope that it is possible to get it back to its original feistiness.

It's hard to find good seafood in the center of the country, but this place is great. They've been here for decades and are a local favorite. In good weather ask for a seat in the crows nest which is sort of a 2 story gazebo. On a clear day you can see the river. If you sit inside, it... More

Had reservations before show at Carson center. The service was terrible, very unhappy folks working there apparently. No welcoming greeting at all, just this is what we're out of & what do you want to drink.......Order was wrong and NEVER was corrected or even mentioned again by server. Only compensation was to take price of tea off of ticket. The... More

Had reservations New Year's Eve. It was so busy! But, the food and the service were excellent. The Orange Roughy Roll Up is delicious! The waitress was great, even though she was extremely busy. The food was hot and delicious! The only draw back was the appetizer. We ordered fried mushrooms for $8.00. They were delicious, but the serving was... More

Every trip I make here seems to be worse. The scallops were cold, chewy, and overcooked. (I could have found better on a buffet!) My husband said the crab cakes were the worst he has ever had. I ate a bite of the crab cakes and crunched down on a large shell. The calamari was also bad. The po-boy sandwiches... More
