I ate here last week after hearing about the Ribs. For me the ribs were exceptionally salty and tasted boiled. The beans were ok...almost like opening up a can and placing green peppers for additional flavor. I will try it one more time....perhaps I went on a bad day. The service was good however.

It's so good you won't even feel bad about undoing the top button on your jeans so you can hold a little more.

We try to stop here on our trips through Paducah over the years. Very good pulled pork sandwich, at a reasonable price. Slaw good too. Should not have four $$$$ in description. Should be $ or $$ as far as cost goes.

I recently ate here for the first time, and it was a great dining experience! When you eat here, be sure to order the chicken. It's probably the best chicken I've ever eaten in my entire life.

Great food that was simple and filling. My son and I both had the pulled pork sandwich I with coleslaw he with potato casserole. My daughter had a hot dog and chips and my husband had the tenderloin and baked beans. Everything was very simple but very good and you can not beat the price! I was a bit surprised... More

I got the pork plate which is met, 2 sides, and a slice of white bread and a coke for $10 and you're expected to tip on top of that. The meat was good, I waited till the last few bites to add sauce since it was tasty and moist. Slaw and baked beans were both good. I feel it... More

We had heard good things about Kentucky bar-b-que and decided to try this one because it had good reviews, but we found that the reviews were far from the truth. I ordered the pulled pork dinner and my husband ordered the half rack of ribs, both of us were very disappointed. Instead of getting pulled pork, I was served a... More

We had high hopes for Backwoods BBQ, but were very disappointed. We were traveling through Paducah and were looking forward to trying a non-chain restaurant . . . The BBQ chicken was tender and flavorful, but not even warm. The hash brown casserole was dry and crunchy, and slaw unremarkable. Our food arrived quickly and was inexpensive, but given the... More

Monday: This remarkable place that I very much enjoy left me doubting my credentials to discuss barbecue, because so many of the items had flavors that I find difficult to describe, but very much liked. For example, the potato salad might have had fresh ginger, minced, in it. Something must’ve been responsible for the unique flavor element, but I’m not... More

When we travel we like to eat at non chain restaurants. This is a family owned BBQ joint and it is good. We had pulled pork and pork loin. Both were smoky and tender. Order the cheesy potato casserole. Good as homemade. The BBQ sauce is a vinegar based sauce so not as sweet as some but outstanding. We bought... More
