Food, wine are both very good! The restaurant is quaint and small. The servers were very attentive and made great suggestions.
Four of us arrived for a late lunch. Even though we arrived near the end of lunch service, we were graciously seated by the host in the classy dining room. Guests at the table next to us gave a glowing review of their lunch as we reviewed the day's menu (a single sheet of paper that changes daily). I chose... More
Very pleased with our first dinner experience at Bills. Love being presented with menu printed on copy paper with today's date-- a sign of fresh food and unique choices! The food is top quality and unlike anything else I've had in Owensboro. Chilean sea bass is amazing. Reservations advised- people are catching on to this jewel.
Bill's has awesome food... many original and unusual dishes. There's a great atmosphere, fun and relaxed! Bill, who is the owner, takes a very personal approach to his menus and service.
I have enjoyed Bill's since it opened and the food and service never disappoint. Bill takes real pride in his food's freshness and preparation, not to mention clever presentations.
I have to agree with all the positive reviews for Bill's. My wife and I had lunch there last week and found everything excellent, Usually, my wife, who is an excellent cook, will find some fault with any restaurant we go to. But not Bill's. The atmosphere, food and service were all excellent. We plan on returning to Bill's the... More
Our kids love when we say we are going to celebrate a special event and eat at Bills. They are so good about accommodating a large group at odd times and having appetizers ready and waiting! We were eating on a tight schedule and they worked with us without loss of the same great quality of food. Thanks Bill and... More
We made a lunch reservation for a 25th year work anniversary. I had not been to Bill's before and was pleasantly surprised at the look of the restaurant, it was very "tastefully" decorated, sort of minimalistic, clean lines. I had a combo meal of grouper cheeks and fresh salmon patty. The salmon was sauteed not deep fried but it had... More
Walking distance from Owensboro riverfront downtown. Restaurant next to a performing theatre. Inviting black decorated storefront. Very interesting unexpected fusion of American with Asian sauces. Calamari with chili is crisp but sweet. Side salad with dinner is good choice. Rainbow trout pan seared with almond slices and potato is excellent.
Business lunch here. A good, but simple, menu with offerings for all tastes. Service was great and with a personal touch. Super clean dining area, has a nostalgic feel to it. This could just as easily be the 60's era Owensboro rather than 2014. Bill's is highly recommended by the local residents.
