Smokey Valley's claim to fame is being featured on "Diners Dives and Drive-ins." It's an excellent little restaurant (not a full Truck Stop, anymore). The burgers are great, and the Coconut Cream Pie is incredible.

My husband and I stopped by the Smokey Valley truck stop on a trip from Louisville to Virginia Beach. We love Diners, Drive-Ins and Dive on the Food Network and that is how Smokey Valley showed up on our radar. Reading other reviews we were a little hesitant but I can tell you that it was great! We arrived for... More

We originally visited this fabulous restaurant in 2012 after seeing it on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and could not have asked for anything better. This was our first meal on the way for vacation, and immediately made our plans to stop there on the way back. Certainly not disappointed! We weren't going that direction on the next vacation,... Ordered breakfest and 45 min later the cook did even start it! I left very poor service! Had to beg for coffee refills! Not worth the time of day. That's the second time I've tried this place and both times were not pleasant.

The gas station is long gone, but the restaurant remains.Love coming here when ever we r traveling down I-64. Everything we ordered was reasonably priced, delicious & plentiful. The service is always down home. Be sure to leave room for their homemade pie. Total bill for 4 of us was around 35.

looking for a place to eat, my wife and located this diner on our smartphone, and seeing as it was featured on triple d we decided to try it out. what a blast from the past. the atmosphere was straight out of the 70s and felt like we were in a smoky and the bandit movie. our waitress looked tired... Great food, publicized by the Guy Fieri. Service left something to be desired, all of the staff seemed surprised that they were busy and were just running everywhere. Based on people I've talked to it's been like that for years and just got worse once it got national TV coverage. Worth a stop if you're going through the area at... More

I want to be fair to a kind business owner, but I honestly can't.. Every single person I'm the place was smoking, including one of the waitresses... In the act of serving no less... I expect a biz owner to cater to there base, but smoking is disgusting already people get over yourselfs... You can certainly make it a 1/2... More

On April 19, 2013, my wife and I stopped here because we had seen the place on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. My wife got a hamburger with fries and I got a smoked pork chop, fried potatoes, pickled beets and apple sauce. We also had coconut cream pie for desert. The food was very good. The beets were as... This place got a great review from a Food Network TV show. Sadly either the show host got special food, or the place has really gone down hill. We stopped in for dinner, and everything either came out of a can, or seem like it came pre-prepared frozen, and heated for our meal. The highly rated deep fried chicken breast... More
