Great energy level, good food, nice staff

I used to live in Chicago and this was the closest I've come to a family restaurant in Cicero! The wait staff was friendly. The approach was almost European. The table was ours until we were ready to leave. The pace of service was perfect. The food was very good. I got the ravioli with... read more

We've enjoyed Pompilio's for years, but the quality has slowly been going down. After last night's visit, we won't return. I had the Shrimp Renaldo, which I've loved in the past. Last night it was bland and had far too much pasta compared with the other ingredients. My wife had pasta with a marinara sauce and didn't like it. The... More

This one of my favorite hometown restaurant stops!!! It's a nice family restaurant that been around for more than 80 years in the middle of an actual neighborhood. That is a lot of history. It's like sitting in your grandma's kitchen. The menu has a good amount of a variety of hearty Italian fare meals. My favorite is the lasagna!!!!... More

If you enjoy an authentic Italian Restaurant Atmosphere similar to what you would get in NYC, then I would encourage you to try. Most of the menu is good but the cooking still lacks a genuine Italian stamp of approval. Excellent Bar area with good assortment of KY bourbons. Recommend for a 1st date or just a fun night with... You all remember the feeling when your begging your waiter to beg the chef to make a little exception with a menu item and tweak a dish a bit but then only to get the snobby and rather narcissistic thumbs down. Well it was a resounding thumbs up at Pompilio's where my date and I both asked for a variation... More

Four of us visited this Newport landmark we found it to be very old school. With the old carved wooden bar up front with locals sitting there. The food is homemade nothing from the big chain restaurants. The waitress are elderly and not the most friendly but overall it was a unique experience. So is a root canal.

First off to let you know, I am a 1% top reviewer with TA and when I review I try to be far as possible. This was my fist time to this restaurant for wife's birthday. I must say none of us were very impressed. I ordered lasagna, with meat sauce that absolutely had NO taste. The thing that saved... More

My first visit, I ordered straw and hay pasta, it was very tasty it was a large portion after eating bread and salad. Definitely a step above any chain Italian restaurant!

Went here with friends and family on a recent trip. It was not a disappointment at all. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my wife had the manacotii. Had the artichoke dip as an appetizer. I highly recommend eating at this great place.

All of the classics. You have a lot of very good offering, and you can combine a half dozen pastas with as many sauces. Add meatball or sausage. Lots of combinations. Try the Rigatoni å la Teresa. Excellent!!
