Hubby and I were visiting family in Northern Kentucky recently, and Hubby's brother took us and many other family members to Pompilio's for dinner our last night before returning home to California. Bro absolutely RAVED about this place, calling it fine Italian dining at it's best. We drove there, found a parking spot (not easy), and entered. The exterior of... More
Everything with red sauce was really good, but the white sauce was basic. I had the sampler and my wife had Chicken and Cheese Tortellini San Luci. The restaurant itself seemed like it need a bit of an overhaul. It wasn't dirty, but don't think It was very clean either. Not sure if we will rush back anytime soon.
Pompilio's is a treat. The environment reminds me of an old world home. The food is so very good each time we go, which is frequent. My favorite is the lasagna. They brought out bread while we looked over the menu. It's nothing special, tastes like bagged white bread. I started with the Pomp salad, which was very good. The combination... More
The service was good but the food was not good at all. We were looking for authentic Italian cuisine. None of the food appeared to be freshly prepared. Lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes and 2 cucumber slices was called a house salad with a house dressing of what seemed to be vinegar with oil and sugar. The antipasti platter was... More
