Four of us visited this Newport landmark we found it to be very old school. With the old carved wooden bar up front with locals sitting there. The food is homemade nothing from the big chain restaurants. The waitress are elderly and not the most friendly but overall it was a unique experience. So is a root canal.

First off to let you know, I am a 1% top reviewer with TA and when I review I try to be far as possible. This was my fist time to this restaurant for wife's birthday. I must say none of us were very impressed. I ordered lasagna, with meat sauce that absolutely had NO taste. The thing that saved... More

My first visit, I ordered straw and hay pasta, it was very tasty it was a large portion after eating bread and salad. Definitely a step above any chain Italian restaurant!

Went here with friends and family on a recent trip. It was not a disappointment at all. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my wife had the manacotii. Had the artichoke dip as an appetizer. I highly recommend eating at this great place.

All of the classics. You have a lot of very good offering, and you can combine a half dozen pastas with as many sauces. Add meatball or sausage. Lots of combinations. Try the Rigatoni å la Teresa. Excellent!!

Hm, so everyone I spoke to who lives in the "Midwest" (is that where I am?) thinks this place has great Italian food. I wanted to agree, I liked the staff, the decor is kind of retro Italian, but, the food, not so great. I was with two others and they are from within a hundred miles, and they loved... More

This restaurant serves the best Italian food on the face of this earth. Better than any Olive Garden, Carrabba's or any other chained Italian restaurants. The noodles are made from scratch everyday and the spices that exceptional. The Shrimp Ronaldo dish is especially delicious, so good I would eat it off the floor. It will knock your feet off. And... Pompilio's was the first restaurant we ever dined in in Newport, Kentucky even before we moved here years later. Our daughter took us knowing we would enjoy the draw of "Rainman" filming one of it's famous scenes in this establishment. There is even a dish on the menu called "The Rainman Special"~food particularly enjoyed by the crew while filming. The... More

Family owned and operated for 60 years or more. Simply the best Italian food you can find in the greater cincinnati area. I love the cheese ravioli with meat sauce, and the bread is perfect. This is where they filmed Rainman too and they have some memorabilia scattered around. They have a full bar as well, and a bocce ball... More

We have occasion to travel to Cincinnati as a family and this restaurant is one of the can not miss spots! A charming little italian eatery with a nice variety of pasta dishes, nice service in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. This time, I tried the shrimp with the gnudi and brussel sprouts. Quite different and delicious!! Great place!!
