Always a pleasure

York street cafe is a staple in newport. They have been in business for years. We eat here several times a year and it is always wonderful. The desserts are all amazing. The decor is eclectic and fun. You can't go wrong ordering a meal.

The food is really good. Lots of things to choose from and they are all delicious. They have a very different decor. Lots of old things to look at and enjoy.

Overall, this place is now near the top of our list for the Cincinnati area. We arrived just as the crowd was leaving for the theatre across the street so we almost had the place to ourselves. Super neat facility, used to be a pharmacy, maybe 100 years ago. Stained glass windows, wood cabinets line the walls, ornate wood serving... More

One-of-kind antique look & feel. Creative, and different style lunch menu! (in a good way) A Great, older style, restaurant environment - that provides a positive feel! We will certainly return to this place...

Four of us went at 8:30 on this past Saturday night. Place was surprisingly not crowded. They were showing Rocky Horror Picture Show across the street and we got there just after the show dinner crowd had left. Chris was our server. Nice, fun guy with a baritone voice who should be in theater. We started with the Baked Brie... More

We had a 96 person rehearsal dinner there last weekend. I was a little concerned about the size of the room but they fit everyone nicely. I wouldn't try getting many more people in the 3rd floor banquet room. Betsy handled everything very well although she only works on certain days so be prepared to wait for responses to your... Really enjoyed the food, the building and the outdoor terrace. The locals get understandably first class service but we gave up on drinks being promptly delivered and my after dinner coffee cocktail never showed up at all. Server was distracted for much of our meal, but we will eat there again and enjoy the upstairs swing bar!

This is a great spot to hold a rehearsal dinner. The restaurant is in this 100 year old building with an appealing quirky/funky vibe. We had appetizers and drinks on the private second level and then moved to the third floor to seat nearly 50 people. Best of all, the food was fabulous and the service impeccable. Ask for Betsy... Took my wife and parents here this past week-end, based on the Tripadvisor recommendations. My wife was somewhat skeptical because of the location, but we were all extremely pleased. I was concerned that the restaurant didn't take reservations but we were seated immediately around 6:30 on a Saturday night. It got busier as the night went on and their outside... More

York street is a grest restaurant. You can count on a great entree, good service and desserts to die for. Their appetizer plates to share are also outstanding.
