Stopped at the Hofbrauhaus before a Reds game and as it was early evening, midweek, lots of tables available. Waitress was quick and helpful with beer and food recommendations. Our group had a variety (I had the Bauern Schnitzel) and everyone was well pleased. Then desert and again, all were thoroughly satisfied. As a note, one of the group had... More

Visited in September for a later dinner. Inside was very noisy, but outside was very comfortable and the weather was very cooperative. Didn't think the lighting would be sufficient for an outdoor meal as dusk was setting int, but it was perfect. The food and drink was very good, but the tables seemed really skinny. Almost had to offset form... More

Great atmosphere, great food! Excellent house beer. A bit on the expensive side, family of four for us is usually a min of $70.. Not someplace you can afford to eat everyday, but it's a must stop when we're in the area.

There are not lots of restaurants with German cuisine in this part of the world, so it is great to be able to sample some here. We went here after the aquarium and followed with a stroll over the purple people bridge. Made for a very enjoyable day. The food is excellent from the pretzel and beer cheese appetizer through... I am not a huge German food fan, but my husband loves it. We had three people recommend this place before we left home, so we wanted to be sure not to miss it. The menu was very extensive, and they had salads, fish, etc, which you usually don't see on a German menu. We split the soft pretzels and... More

This place looks like something straight out of Beerfest! Good service, excellent food and phenomenal beer! By the end of the night we were all standing on our table signing Brown Eyed Girl.

Upfront: living in Northern Kentucky, I love Hofbrauhaus Newport. Unfortunately, it isn't what it was. Granted I had a LONG day at work, wanted to stop by one of my favorite places, Sat out in the Bier Garten. The service: I have never seen so many waiters stand around. They were avoiding the people sitting at tables. I saw a... More

Good German beer and food in a festive atmosphere make this a unique and interesting stop. The Hofbrau Lager and Wiess were both really good as were the entrees we ordered. Service was great and prices were reasonable.

I ate at this restaurant with a group and did the buffet on August 26, 2014. They had three types of weiners, sweet sourkraut, pretzels, mashed potatoes, pasta with cheese and desert. Sorry to say, that I was not impressed with either the food or organization of serving the group. I did have german beer and it was great! (Not... More

Have been to Cinncinnati twice this summer and Hoffbrauhaus is a must! Good beer and awesome pretzels & beer cheese and fried pickles! Live entertainment and out door patio overlooking river and downtown Cinncinnati. CAUTION: Smoking in main beer hall and outside patio
