We arrived for dinner and were delighted to not have a wait. It was a nice evening, so we chose to sit outside. Our waitress promptly greeted us and kept us entertained throughout the evening. Our only disappointment came very early. We all wanted a large souvenir beer mug. We were told that the shipment was on order. Consequently, we... More

This is a fun and festive place. They have a beer garden which is scenic and overlooks the river and Cincy waterfront. It's a great place for a crowd. Great beer and lots of sampler food choices which were great for sharing. The staff dresses in German garb and they have festive music playing which adds to the merriment.

This is a poor German Restaurant. They are also very overpriced. My wife was very upset since she was looking forward to this place since she grew up in Germany and loves German food. She got a bratwurst but it was served in a regular hot dog bun that you can get at Walmart. The Pretzels that they rave about... More

This is the second time I've visited the Hofbrauhaus and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. The food is great, the beer is excellent and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is fun. If you are looking for a quiet place, then this is not for you.

I've been wanting to try this place for years and finally went! They have the huge beers like they do in Germany as well as a sampler. I really like the beer garden! I got the Hofbrauhaus Hot Brown and it was delicious! Newport isn't smoke free, but they have a non smoking room that is very large. I really... More

Four generations of family had a great time at the Hofbrauhaus this last weekend. We were seated quickly (no mean feat for a group of 11) right next to the band. The little kiddos had a great time jumping and marching around to the music, and (mostly) were able to stay out of peoples' way. The atmosphere is like an... More

Great Beer/food/fun. The enviroment was great, the direrent kind of beer and the size of them... they are hudge. The boys and girls were dressed as German people kike in the old days. Great music and even they get all the people on top of the tables dancing.

What a fun place to go to! We sat out on the patio, but I would have been equally happy inside in the Old World atmosphere. The pretzel and beer cheese were delicious! Our daughter recommended her favorite--the schnitzel sandwich. The schnitzel is huge (the same size as the dinner portion) and crispy outside with tender meat cooked to perfection.... More

This place is hard to beat. They brew beer on site that equals that which you would drink in the original Hofbrauhaus in Munich. Their menu offerings are extensive and traditional German. The German potato salad is as good as you will have. The cooked cabbage is wonderful.....no bitterness, done just right. I had a schnitzel entree that was very... More

I've been here twice and love the location by the river. Love the beer cheese and pretzels. I went once for lunch and sat outside and it was very nice. I went again on a Saturday night late and it was a little wild inside for my taste so we sat outside even though it was chilly. Definitely a bar... More
