To be fair, we only came in for a snack and had pretzels with bier cheese. They weren't anything special, I've had better, but the thing that makes this place cool is the ambiance. It's definitely a good German place from the decor with the large wood tables and beer steins, to the staff wearing barmaid outfits. There were plenty... More

We went here on a Saturday night....the weather was great and sitting outside drinking beer and having appetizers was fantastic. They told us it would be 90-120 minutes for a table inside...30 minutes after we arrived our table was ready. The beer is very good and the food is OK, not bad but certainly not gourmet. Overall a great place... More

The food is amazing and so is the beer. What a fun place. It wasn't very crowded when we went but what fun it was. I love their motto.

Visited the "Hofbraeuhaus" for the third time and I remembered the previous two times as a good / ok experience,,,kind of reminding me of home ..I am German(born and raised ) so this time it was the birthday of a friend of mine (as well German ) and her family! We have been welcomed by an older gentleman very nicely... More

Great food, great beer, and great atmosphere. Seriously, one of the most fun places in town. Make it here.

We have travelled to Munich three times, each time visiting the Hofbrauhaus at least once. So when I found out there was one in Covington I could not wait to try it. The atmosphere is great and even close to the original. The location looks like a lot of fun for tourists and things to do and see. The staff... More

Excellent beer and dinner. A bit odd they allowed smoking in main dining room though, wish it was nonsmoking. But overall great experience. Can't wait to return.

I love the atmosphere of the Hoftbrauhaus Newport. Fun hearing the Germain accordion player (although we could not understand a word he was saying due to the sound system) and the vibrancy of the place. Seating is at long wooden picnic style tables with benches (no backs on the benches) and communal. We arrived a little before 6:00--lucky for us... More

Our college group stopped here for lunch on a Saturday which is probably the busiest day in Newport. Our group of 40 was seated immediately (with reservations of course) and before you knew it we had our lunch served. The food was excellent as was the staff! I will make sure our group stops here again.

It has been over 25 years since I visited Bavaria and tasted the great food and drink from Augsburg and Munich. I was looking forward to the tastes and atmosphere of Hofbrauhaus Newport, so much in fact that I already knew exactly what I was going to order by the time we got there. The atmosphere was fun, with the... More
