We enjoyed our first ever trip to Hofbrauhaus, celebrating my husband's Birthday. We went ~5pm on a Saturday, which was a great time to go. Our party of 3 was seated right away, even though it was crowded. When we left ~6:30pm, the line filled the entry area and almost out the door. That part of town gets quite crowded... More

Being German, and having knowledge of what true German food is supposed to be, this is the next best thing to being in Munich. Growing up eating homemade German fair, this is the best around. And the beers served are the best. Though they still serve it American style ( chilled ), let it warm a bit to get the... More

I've eaten here a few times over the years after visiting the original in Munich, if you are in the Cincinnati / northern Kentucky it's a lot of fun. Not everyone likes German food which led my ratings, for me it's perfect, try the Schnitzel Weiner Art with a fried egg on top, the pork shank is massive, and the... More

The food here was delicious, and I had fun, but I think I would have enjoyed myself more but for the dopey way they have the place set up. We walked in to what seemed to be a huge party! There was a huge open room full of people, there was a polka band, there was a dude in lederhosen... More

What a great fest hall in Kentucky. Very authentic to the real one in Munich. We expected the food to be authentic, and it really missed the mark. Good food, but a bit too "Americanized".

I had been wanting to try this place for quite some time. We had tried months ago on a Saturday night, but the wait was too long. I planned a Monday day trip to the area just to eat at this place. I have a problem of building expectations up only to be disappointed with places. That did not happen... More

My wife and I were visiting friends in Northern Kentucky and planned a dinner at Hoffbrauhaus for a fun evening out. The wait wasn't terrible for four people on a Friday Night (maybe 20 minutes) during which time we headed out to the tent area and had some great german style beers. We had the sauerkraut balls and pretzels for... More

They have a fantastic selection of German beers - very authentic. Their brat chili was outstanding, their potato cakes were awesome, and the Bavarian Jagerschnitzel was the bomb.com. We had a fantastic waiter who was humorous and gave us great advice as we dug in. He even recommended a local bakery that my wife fell in love with. We had... More

After a visit to the Aquarium, we ate here for lunch. Not smokey as it wasn't full. Kids were dancing to the polka music and everyone having a good time. We shared a liter of the Christmas beer which is one of the best I've ever had-anywhere! I had a bowl of Hungarian goulash and it was close to the... More

The Hofbrauhaus didn't quite meet the standards set at the original in Munich. However, the food is comfortable and the beer was cold. Nice German music kept the kids happy. Service was good. The thrill came in the adjoining pay-for-parking lot. Two attendants, apparently more interested in collecting the fees, allowed cars to pack in, closing the exit lane. When... More
