Average because its fun. Food is greasy. Nothing like real German. Beer is good. This a Disneyworld version of the Munich Hofbrauhaus.

Popular place that is for sure. Have eaten there twice now. The food doesn't taste very German more like American pretending to be German. The drinkers seem to like this place as it has been crowded both times I was there. You can be seated fairly quickly as long as you are willing to eat outdoors. The first time there... More

the food was good i would come back but the service will keep you away for sure. the wait was over a hour for inside seating, and if you ate out side the service was only when you could run someone down. take was to order and pay.

My son graduated from the University of Cincinnati April 27. We asked where he wanted to eat afterwards and he immediately responded "The HofbrauHaus". The place is in a fun part of town and we were able to be seated immediately outdoors. All meals were great, beer was excellent, and the view spectacular. Prices weren't bad, either. I missed not... Despite the fact that I'm German, I've got nothing good to say about Newport Hofbrauhaus. Don't do it! It's a waste of money! The food is bad and too expensive. Service takes up to 50 min and large groups are only accommodated if the manager agrees. So if you go in there thinking you reserved a table, if the manager... More

I grew up in a German family around German food and cook it myself now. With this in mind, the food wasn't very German. It was the average American food that is passed off as German. It tasted good, it just didn't taste like German food is supposed to taste like. However, the beer is very good and the atmosphere... More

I was born in Germany, and the Food at the Newport Hofbraeuhaus does not taste at all like German Food the prices are a little on the high site.Atmosphere in the Main Hall is great in the evening,Beer tastes really good and the Beer Garden is nice with a GREAT Cincinnati Skyline View.

Walked around Newport and decided on something different and WOW is this place great. Stepping inside is like visiting a beer house in Germany and there is live music as well. Pass up the big name place and venture to a new level of Europe in this small community.

Take a trip to The Fatherland at Hofbrauhaus! GREAT beers brewed on site, German foods that are Sehr Gut! Prices good, the atmosphere's like that of a Beer Hall in Munich...and that's at Lunch! Gonna make it a point to visit the Bier Garten when it's warmer. Just a cool place all around!

It is like being back home in Munich Germany every time I eat at the Hofbrauhaus in Newport Kentucky just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio. Best German dark beer in the midwest. The food, particularly the worst and weinerschnical is very athenic. Prices are right and quantities are very large. My wife and I drive the 100 miles... More
