Nice Place

A friend and former co-worker and I try to meet once a month for lunch. We decided to try the Grey Goose. I got there first and apparently before any other customers as well. The waitress told me I could sit anywhere I chose and asked what I would like to drink. My friend showed up a few minutes... read more

After taking some out of state relatives around the horse farm backroads and visiting a distillery, we had high hopes for this restaurant since it seemed to get good reviews. We were so disappointed. Mediocre bar-like food at best, service was slow (no drink refills, had to ask for our check, etc). The ambiance (outdoor patio seating) was nice. Skip... More

Recently my wife and I traveled to Lexington, Ky. to see my wife's uncle and cousins. During our visit, we went to Midway, Ky. I believe Midway got it's name because it's "midway" between Lexington and the capital of Frankfurt. Anyway, Midway is a charming restored late 1800's town, filled with shops, antique stores, and restaurants. While there, we had... More

Stopped in town the first time about 2 years ago during a festival. The Grey Goose has indoor and outdoor seating....during nicer weather. It has an old pub feeling to it. The handmade pizzas are wonderful! Very thin, crispy crust... and the basil pesto is one of the best I have ever eaten. The cod basket is a good bet... More

Since I'm a health nut, this place is just not my favorite. The pizza is decent, but I don't eat that very often. If you like meat, sandwiches and fried things, and alcoholic beverages, you'll like this place!

We are from Louisville and we wanted to meet some family members to watch the UK game. Food was good for the atmosphere but will not being going back due to the feeling of being rushed out, after the server informed us are you ready for your check we said no we are hanging around to watch UK. We were... More

On a recent gorgeous autumn day, we traveled to Midway. This little gem of a town ranks as perhaps Kentucky's most charming. Our visit included lunch at the Gray Goose. We all had bourbon battered cod, fries, and slaw. The fish was the star of the trio. Expertly cooked- it was so tasty. The fries were routine crinkle cut but... More

The food was decent for a bar, and the place was comfortable. The bar is fairly well stocked. It's a great place to stop for a beer while shopping.

As the name implies, Midway, KY, is located midway between Frankfort and Lexington and is a charming little community surrounded by numerous thoroughbred horse farms in the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky. In addition to some quaint little shops that line the railroad track running thru the center of town lies a particularly nice restaurant known as The Grey Goose. We... More

Food was delicious, service was good and the atmosphere was good. The small town restaurant makes me think that locals would convene at the bar @ the end of a hard day or to just meet up with friends for a meal and/or drink. The indoor seating is a bit close, but managable.
