On a recent gorgeous autumn day, we traveled to Midway. This little gem of a town ranks as perhaps Kentucky's most charming. Our visit included lunch at the Gray Goose. We all had bourbon battered cod, fries, and slaw. The fish was the star of the trio. Expertly cooked- it was so tasty. The fries were routine crinkle cut but... More

The food was decent for a bar, and the place was comfortable. The bar is fairly well stocked. It's a great place to stop for a beer while shopping.

As the name implies, Midway, KY, is located midway between Frankfort and Lexington and is a charming little community surrounded by numerous thoroughbred horse farms in the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky. In addition to some quaint little shops that line the railroad track running thru the center of town lies a particularly nice restaurant known as The Grey Goose. We... More

Food was delicious, service was good and the atmosphere was good. The small town restaurant makes me think that locals would convene at the bar @ the end of a hard day or to just meet up with friends for a meal and/or drink. The indoor seating is a bit close, but managable.

The food was very plentiful and very good. Seven of us dined for lunch recently and took several boxes home with us. The fried mushrooms are pretty good appetizers as are the broccoli ones. I had standard pepperoni pizza and I should have shared it with someone. It was good with huge, 3" pepperonis on it. The waitress kept our... More

Excellent three course dinner for restaurant week, with salad, pizza and dessert, which was snores with a light fluffy frozen yogurt. Always a good choice, and wonderful service!

Went to Midawy to find a quaint restaurant. First one we looked at was to long of a line. Came up The Grey Goose. We sat outside on the nice porch and had a drink. We order a 1/4 head of lettuce each and a pizza. The salad was very good. Great condiments it. I wanted a pepperoni pizza and... More

My husband and I stopped over in Versailles to visit the horse park and some bourbon distilleries on the way to IN. We arrived on a Sunday, so there were limited dinner choices in a small town. We choose the Grey Goose and loved the location in downtown Midway. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside on the... More

We enjoyed a wonderful club hoagie. It combined elements of a club sandwich with a hoagie and was just great. Very enjoyable lunch. Good service. Good prices. Others had different sandwiches. All were good.

Tuesday night crowd was not to capacity yet we waited over an hour for two pizzas and a sandwich. Service was slow and there was not any information provided as to why the food was delayed. When the food came one pizza was udwercooked. Still doughy.
