Nice dinner here with great apple cobbler!

I enjoyed this little restaurant in Midway, KY off Hwy 62 in the town of Midway. It's at the end of little main street strip, toward the water tower. The food was quite good and the apple cobbler with ice cream was even better!!! The menu is limited.

The shrimp and the onions rings (appetizers) were a wonderful start. Everyone was very happy with their orders, which included Hot Brown, Reuben, and some of the salads. The broccoli salad was tasty, too.

But the bar was pleasant except for the regular who sits at the bar talking obtrusively loudly on his cell phone non stop. He was well known by the bartender who was a very sweet young lady. Don't know how this is handled diplomatically. The food was good though rich & filling. If you are on a diet, don't go.... More

We had a small family reunion for lunch. The service was excellent as was the food. The menu was not huge and that allowed the kitchen to prepare the food well. Everyone was pleased with their choice and agreed that it all looked good. When we were done eating they let us sit and visit amongst ourseves without bothering us.... More

My daughter and I enjoyed the short trip to Midway from Lexington for lunch. Monte Carlo Sandwich with Broccoli Salad and daughter had the Teriyaki Pork Sandwich w Asian Slaw, a special of the day. We each had half sandwich of each. Very good! We shared a warm apple cobbler with ice cream. Delicious. Confused about the decor ..Maybe it... More

This little cafe is struggling to find an identity with several types of decor clashing together in this old building-large wood beams of a rustic cafe, metal trim of a more industrial look and a hodge podge of lamps and neon signs of your traditional bar looks. The food, however, takes center stage. Every thing from the fried pickles to... More

Small locally owned restaurant at the end of a historic street in Midway, KY. The staff are friendly and helpful explaining the menu and questions about particular dishes. Have had a variety of dishes and haven't had a bad one yet.

I was organizing a Miata tour involving 14 people. I called the restaurant to see if we could get reservations for 12:15 on a Saturday. Sure, no problem I was told. But as we were driving I could see that we would be arriving 30 minutes early. So I called them, no problem. One big table awaited us, the food... More

This is a love it or not s o much c h kind of place. It is somewhatt quaint but the food reminds me of Cracker Barrel restaurants, I often call this "comfort food" that is filling but not unusual.
