Atmosphere is great for families and a great value. Food is wonderful. Burgoo is fantastic. This is a must try place
One of my favorite stops when In Louisville area. Great food, tea and the buttermilk pie is scary good. Cool atmosphere and fast fun service.
Passing through Louisville, I found this place via FourSquare and took a shot as it seemed to be a local restaurant hidden amongst chain places. There was a huge line, but it loved very quickly. The kitchen and staff se prepared for crowds. Really, it was all quite nice. Moist, tender (collectively, we had chicken, pork, ribs, brisket, wings)...smoked but... More
Before we even made our trip to Louisville I was looking for a BBQ place to visit. I had it down to two places and I followed the reviews. We arrived and they were busy but we only had to wait 10mins at the most. Waitress was very nice. We placed our order almost right away. I ordered the brisket... More
Ate at Mark's on a Sunday evening to celebrate my son's birthday. There were eight of us and we were seated immediately. Had all varieties of Barbeque and side dishes and everything was terrific. Their Kentucky burgoo is the best around and I tried the fried codfish with fried corn on the cob and found both excellent. Their onion straws... More
I found out about this little 6 store BW chain in Louisville from a friend while doing business in town. It has a really warm atmosphere and is run by good old home town people. The staff is very friendly, and so is the food. I have eaten bbq all over the central part of the USA and this place... More
Love to eat here the food is good not great but good. The sauces they have are some of the best you can eat. My all time favorite it the honey wings. Try to find places to park away from here its hard to get out of and the parking lot is terrible and can ruin your experience.
I have an addiction to BBQ! Mark's has both great ambience (if you understand what that means for a BBQ restaurant) and great food. Feels and tastes like you are at a local hog roast! Original sauce is more like the mustard/vinegar sauce, but they had a great sweet "Red" sauce as well. I didn't try the "Hot" sauce, but... More
In Louisville, Mark's is the place for BBQ. It is a simple place with great food. The potato salad is amazing and you cannot go wrong with any of the BBQ selections.
Ok, guys, seriously... if you are in Louisville or even close I would absolutely recommend you go here. This place is hands down the best barbecue I have ever had. The ribs are amazing! If you are a first time customer you get a free bottle of sauce and a slice of the most incredible pie you will ever eat.... More
