We never miss Graeters when in or driving through Louisville

Not kidding, the very best ice cream in the world. Try the blackberry chocolate chip. Oh..... They also sell coolers and dry ice so you can take some home, but now Krogers stocks it.

My favorite ice cream in Louisville is Graeter's! I love anything they have that has their chocolate chip pieces in it. I would highly recommend Graeter's. There's no need to get sundaes or shakes there, their ice cream is delicious without adding anything else to it! My favorite is mint chip.

This was our first time here and we really liked it. The service could use some improvement but the ice cream made up for it. The chocolate chips are a lovely addition and we can wait to try it again.

We sometimes visit Graeter's after eating at Havana Rumba. The ice cream is always good and served with a smile. One worker,Jackson, stands out. He prepares your treat with style and flair. It's clear that he takes pride in his work.

Living in Florida, I can only get Graeter's from the freezer case of my Publix supermarket. While it's okay, it's not fresh-scooped Graeter's. While visiting Louisville, my husband and I stopped in to get some fresh. He's never had it fresh and while he has said that mine was "good" when he tasted it, he's a purist and likes plain... More

Looking for bourbon ice cream while in Louisville and we found this treasure. We hit it earlier in the day so there was no line and the employee was super friendly and helpful. We each got a single scoop, which was Very generous in my opinion. So good - full of chunks and a nice creamy texture. As we checked... More

For the best ice cream fix in town go to Graeters. Being a fan of mint chocolate chip this place has the best...EVER. The creamy minty base is rich and light at the same time and they dollup melted dark chocolate into the base as it is mixing. This means you get some small pieces and some HUGE pieces of... More

My first visit here; tried black raspberry chip and it was delish!!! Love the big chocolate chunks and velvet texture of the ice cream. Wish they had a kid size scoop though as I found a single scoop to be a little too large for me personally, but can see that most adults would find it to be a good... More

I used to love Graeter's chocolate chocolate chip ice cream. It had a strong chocolate flavor, not too sweet, and the chocolate "chips" were actually chunks of some of the creamiest, best, melt-in-your mouth chocolate! A friend and I stopped there the other evening, and I found that things are not the same (I had not visited for maybe a... More

There are a number of restaurants in the Douglas Loop to consider but do skip dessert and walk over to Graeter's. Actually, it is a chain that originated in Ohio but is still the second best choice in Louisville for ice cream. Sorry, but Comfy Cow is the best in the city. However, Graeter's is no slouch. They have a... More
