Decent place to eat, and a great alternative to the English Grill

Good alternative to the English Grill. The waitress was busy flirting at the next table for more tips, but the Hot Brown lived up to it's hype.

My husband and I wanted to visit the historic Brown Hotel before leaving Louisville so we decided to go for the Sunday brunch buffet. We went at noon and the options were the buffet or an a la carte menu. I was first disappointed that the menu was lunch items - not brunch. Because I wanted brunch, I went with... More

J Grahams Cafe is in the historic Brown Hotel. This is the restaurant where the Hot Brown Sandwich was invented in the 1920's. This cafe has a nice historic feel, yet somewhat modern at the same time. My wife and I both ordered the Hot Brown and I had a locally brewed beer. We have had Hot Browns in many... More

On our visit to Louisville, we had to go to The Brown Hotel where the Hot Brown originated. We were not disappointed. The Hot Brown was outstanding. The service was excellent: fast, efficient, friendly. We highly recommend J GRaham's for the Hot Brown. We will definitely return on our next visit to Louisville.

After a long weekend in Louisville for an event, I had some free time for lunch on Sunday before going to the airport. I decided to take an Uber car over to the Brown (I was staying at the Galt House) to give the original "Hot Brown" sandwich a try. I was concerned that there would be a huge crowd... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your wonderful thoughts on our Sunday Brunch and our very famous and very rich Mornay sauce. I never go a week without my Hot Brown. Please allow me to handle your reservation on your next visit. The Galt is nice but I am certain we will exceed your every expectation. Regards, Brad Walker Vice President... More

Came here to try a hot brown in the place where they were invented and get a slice of Derby Pie. Generous portions, spectacular service, cushy atmosphere, I felt underdressed in my tshirt and shorts, but no one was rude about it. Menu looked amazing, would love to come back to try even more.

Went for the Hot Brown. They should call it the Yum Brown. Very very good. Went for lunch and it was casual but yet if you wanted to fit the elegance of the hotel you could do that as well

Relaxed atmosphere. Luxurious surroundings prompt service and good food. I always get a blueberry pancake. Very good. For my second breakfast here this time I got an omelette. Very nicely done. Potatoes were great and the orange juice was fresh squeezed. This is a very good option.

Since we were tourists in Louisville, we had to get a Hot Brown. It was way better than anyone expected it to be! A lot of times, you hear the big hype and then it turns out to be a big let down, but not this time! Big slices of roasted turkey breast and a delicious mornay sauce. We made... More
