When in Louisville, you have to have a Hot Brown and the only place to have one is at J. Grahams Café! The wait staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Our waiter/bartender made one of the best Bloody Mary's I have ever had (I like mine extra spicy and normally it's never spicy enough - here it was perfect!). My... More

The Hot Brown is their signature dish; too many times I have brough an out of town guest here for this experience and the Hot Brown was not hot at all, but merely tepid. Add a tad of insult to this and the menu prices change without notice during a few times of the year, quite unannounced. Got the bill... More

Bucket list check off: -visit Louisville (check) -check out Brown Hotel (check) -have a mint julep (check) -try a hot brown (mega check) None of the above should EVER be missed, especially the the hot brown (seriously, your taste buds have not LIVED until you've dined on this mind-blowingly delicious dish). Was not a fan, the food choices were very minimal on the buffet and the quality of the food was average. The syrup for the mushy pancakes was so odd, nearly perfume like it stuck with me all day (not a good thing).

I arrived without a reservation on a Sunday morning looking for brunch. The host could not have been nicer, and really hustled to seat all of us who were arriving without reservations. And the room itself is lovely. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. The brunch is decently priced, but the food was a little underwhelming. The assortment was... More

Staying at the Brown and went in for breakfast - disappointed. they open at 7am, but they weren't ready, still setting up service at the buffet, cleaning some tables etc. That should all be done before they open. Musty smell mixed with some dish detergent smell. The Cafe needs to step up a bit to meet the level of The... More

I went to this cafe like many others, to try the famous sandwich. Yes, it's a plate of toasted bread and carved turkey, covered in a super cheesy sauce, topped with bacon. Recipe for a heart attack? Maybe. However, it was worth it! I gladly finished most of it and my 12 year old son finished off the rest (after... More

We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the cafe almost every morning we were here. Everything we ordered was good and if you like oatmeal, theirs is delicious. Great coffee too and plenty of refills.
