Great Pub!

It has the looks and feel of a real Irish pub with several beers on tap. My wife and I had a hearty lunch that was very good overall. She had the chicken asparagus salad and I the fish cakes plus a pint of Smithwicks. Service was very friendly & helpful. Tab for the two of us with tax and... read more

Consistency, Irish Rover is always an upbeat experience with occasional new menu items and but Murphy's surprisingly was not on tap. Scotch eggs always a hit with plenty of Coleman's.

Good food, good service and average prices. We had a rehersal dinner there and they did a great job. They have an upstairs room that worked out great and they were flexible with the menu. I would use them again.

Every time I know that I'll be in the area, I make it a point to stop in at Irish Rover. You do feel like you've entered an Irish Pub when you walk inside. They have a large selection of alcohol, however, I was not there for a drink. The menu has many Irish favorites; however, most people order the... More

We visited the Irish Rover like we have on the previous two trips to Louisville. As usual, the staff and the food were great. We tried tow new fish dishes this time. They have some of the best fish and chips anywhere. Our waitress was very attentive and very personable. We shared information about past visits and shared visits in... More

Whenever I go to a new city or town I try to find those little hidden gems that everyone tells you about that aren't chain restaurants. I like to find out the stories and the motivations behind why people do independent restaurants. I spent some time and talked with the owner of this place and he's a great guy with... More

After the mostly favorable reviews, I went alone for lunch and we both went for dinner. Thought I'd get a first impression of the food before going back for what my buddy and I expected to be London pub-quality fish and chips. I ordered the smoked salmon and potato gratin and it wasn't bad, but not anything special either. We... More

Having been to Ireland quit a few times, and just back from there my wife and I were looking forward to an Irish pub atmosphere. It had it a bit, but lacked it as well. Guinness was done nice for the States and a Smithwicks as well. Fish and chips were good. My real criticism is our meales were basically... More

We were in Louisville a couple months ago and stumbled upon Irish rover. We enjoyed it so much that we came back twice during the same trip. This time on our way down to North Carolina we decided to stop in Louisville so we could eat at the Irish rover. My partner loves the Dublin Smokie. I enjoyed potato soup... More
