Great Irish Pub w real Irish/Brit food

Where else can u find smoked salmon, a fab selection of great Irish beers & an extensive Irish whiskey selection AND Bubble & Squeak! Would make the drive from Detroit just to hit this pub again. Loved it!

A must eat when in Louisville. I ate here once and would have eaten here again during my time in Louisville, but just not enough time. I'm of Irish ancestry, so I was to eat here. Salmon au gratin was out of this world. Huge portions.

Great food, and very unique atmosphere. The food is amazing and definitely worth the price. We will definitely be coming back here.

Not only is the food good here (I could eat an entire loaf of the soda bread by myself---and have!) but if you are GF or vegetarian or whatever, you can probably find something you'd like. Sandwiches, salads, entrees, Irish dishes, lots of good choices. My husband loves their salmon while I like everything I've ever tried. At least in... More

We went to dinner with another couple on a December Friday night. We got there about 6 p.m. and were pleasantly surprised that we were seated right away. We had not made reservations. This is in an old building with high ceilings, wood floors, etc. Quaint. However, if you are looking for a quiet place for dinner this isn't it.... More

I live in Clifton right by here. Hadn't been in awhile so I walked over with my dad last night. The place was super cozy and decorated for Christmas. Lots of families with and without kids present. Plenty of seating. Great music playing. My dad and I were looking for a light dinner and both had salads (spinach/pear and apple/chicken)... More

While visiting The Jim Beam distillery we asked one of the employees where to go for and early dinner he said the Irish Rover. We were happy we took his advice! It's a cute little Irish pub a little dark but charming. We ordered the Scotch egg, yum!!! I had the fish and chips and he got the beef stew... More

Owner is from Cork, Ireland and he and his wife are on hand to insure a great experience for everyone. Menu is full of traditional Irish fare, but the fresh ingredients and made to order make a big difference compared to other Irish pubs around the country. The Rover has added about 30 Irish whiskeys with full or tasting portions,... More

Although I'm an infrequent visitor to Louisville, I stop in enough to have tried most of the food options. The Rover is blessed with a unique menu, better and different than one would encounter at any chain Irish joint. Its a refreshing spot and I stop in on every trip to Louisville. Their Scotch Egg is the best in the... More
