Went here after being fed in conference all day so not really hungry for anything but oysters and a good salad. They had them both! Amazing oyster selection even after 10pm and the wedge salad as mentioned on the menu was phenomenal! I'll definitely be back to try the steak the next time I'm in town! Leanne works hard to... More

Made our second visit to Jeff Ruby’s because my husband really likes a good steak. The restaurant is very good, but I would not consider it great. Several items seem to be overpriced. The shrimp cocktail is good and has a great cocktail sauce, but a little high at $21 for three (large) tiger shrimp. The bread and butter served... More

This is a first class restaurant from the service to the food. I have eaten at Morton's, Ruth Chris, Fleming's, & Delmonico's, and many other nice steakhouses. The Filet Mignon at Jeff Rubey's was the best I've had! I also ordered the Ceviche (w Mango). and shared the corn fritters, duck ravioli, and lobster mac. Every thing was excellent. We... More

I really loved everything I ordered until I received my steak. It was explained in the ordering process that they put a crust on their steak, which I believe is where they go wrong. Parts of the steak was cooked perfectly and then you would get a bite that was burnt to a crisp and I order my steak medium... More

The food was good but not exceptional. The prices are exceptionally high. Sat at the bar and the service was excellent.

Dined here with family celebrating my wife's birthday compliments of my son and daughter in law. We gathered in a semi private room having less than 8 other tables and John was our waiter. He was phenomenal just like the other waiter who served us the previous time we dined at Jeff's. Everything is top drawer here and we still... More

The food was outstanding. The general attitude from most of the staff was off/weird. Slow to non existent bar drinks from a pompus little server. Feel like it was a waist of time and money. Lots of places (100 per person) have great food, but great service creates the event. My humble opinion is try elsewhere

I'm a regular at Jeff Ruby's for a reason. They have the absolute best dining and socializing ambiance you could ever ask for. Then there is the amazing food -- the BEST steak you've ever had (sorry Ruth's) and sushi and seafood that is unlike anywhere else in the Ohio Valley Region. If nothing else, just sit at the bar... Went here with a larger group of colleagues when in Louisville on business. The lobster and steaks were amazing and the service was absolutely great. Would highly recommend dinner here when you are in Louisville. Don't forget to make a reservation.
