This was my first overnight visit to Louisville and to Bourbon's Bistro. I was pleasantly surprised to walk in and find a small, inviting restaurant/bar with that neighborhood-hot-spot vibe. The place feels like it's been around a while: well-established with a cozy ambiance. Before dinner, I was excited to try a "beginners" flight of bourbon samples. Three bourbons were chosen... More

A fun place with busy atmosphere. Great for groups. Prices reasonable and if you like to try different bourbons this is the place. You can create your own flights. Had the petite steak and it was really good. All on group enjoyed. Good service but loud as they got busy.

We went to Bourbon’s Bistro as a group of 8 on a Saturday night. The restaurant was small but intimate with dimmed lights and nice portraits on the walls. Our server was Omar; I can’t speak enough about how awesome and personalized the service was. The menu was limited but had something for everyone. The variety of and list of... More

My daughter took me, her Mom and her boyfriend for brunch on Father's Day. The dining space is intimate and it specializes in bourbon based drinks and other interesting cocktails. I had a maple bourbon based drink, the rest of the party has Mimosas, bloody mary and a Lilly which is a bourbon cocktail. The brunch offered an excellent group... More

Not real fancy and definitely a bistro. My wife had the spicy fried oysters appetizer that she said was delicious. She then tried the grilled blackened shrimp which she said tasted neither blackened nor grilled. I had the beet salad which was very good and the duck con fete which I was told was browned before serving but didn't seem... More

Who knew you could pair peppercorn crusted filet with mushroom bread pudding and herb infused ricotta cheese? Awesome. Also had a very nice meat/cheese platter as an appetizer. As you might guess by the name, they have many bourbons (over 100). They also serve bourbon barrel beers and Coke products. Server was extremely helpful without being bothersome.

So wonderful to find a restaurant that has not gone the way of the "elevated SoutherN" trend. Duck confit and soy braised short ribs were excellent, lobster bruschetta had my husbands eyes rolling back in his head in pleasure. Service friendly but not hovering, lovely room.

We didn't eat here but the food looked good. We sat at the bar and tasted several flights of bourbon. They have many bourbons to taste and the bar staff is very knowledgeable.

I took my wife to brunch this last Mother's Day and she was pleased with the selection of food. Although not a huge fan of fried chicken(think KFC) this was one of the most tender and flavorful pieces of chicken we have tasted. The one down side was having a 1:45 pm sitting after everyone was finishing brunch. Much of... More

Possibly one of the best meals I have ever been served. The oyster and the shrimp appetizers were great. Perfect spice, preparation, and presentation. Entree was the Short Rib. Amazing is the only way to describe it. And don't forget the great bourbon flights! If you only have one night to eat out in Louisville, this should be your place.... More
