In a town full of great options, this one is a must

This was our first stop in Louisville and it set a high bar for our entire trip. Our bartender, Katie, was energetic, welcoming and knowledgeable. As this was our first trip to and first stop in bourbon country, we encountered a wall of unfamiliar bottles. Katie learned about our tastes and how far... read more

First, the positives: If you have "bourbon" in your name, you'd better have an extensive bourbon list and Bourbon's Bistro does. The atmosphere is a nice balance of casual and fine dining. Unfortunately, the negatives out-weigh the positives. The portion sizes were rather small. I had the steak frites and there wasn't that much steak and there weren't that many... More

It's not on the beaten path. We Uber'ed there and back and we were glad; the parking area wasn't large or well-marked. The food was good. My steak was perfectly cooked. It's a bit pricey but a nice place to dine.

Have been here several times with friends. We all ordered different items and everything was delicious. Drinks, food and desserts have never been disappointed with anything we have ordered!

One of the first things you notice when you walk in, is the impressive bar and the amount of bourbon they have available to choose from. The food was very good, and the dessert was excellent, however, I felt it was a little overpriced for what you got. We are travelling around with children, which made it hard when they... More

A great selection of bourbons as well as other spirits. Excellent strip steaks and filets. Deserts are good too. Excellent wait staff and bartenders.

We rolled into Louisville after a 7 hour drive and had to call and move our reservation to a later time. It was a Wednesday night so this was not a problem. This restaurant was recommended on the 3 day trip planner from the Kentucky Bourbon Trail website and definitely lived up to the recommendation! We had the wonderful oyster... More

We enjoyed spending time at the bar and discussing various whiskeys with the bar chef. He had an impressive selection of bourbons and was quite knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the restaurant was somewhat average. The service seemed slow even though it was early in the evening and not crowded. We felt on several occasions that we had been "forgotten". While the spicy... More

I get the feeling that this place has a regular clientele. People seem comfortable here. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff friendly. A local had recommended the Filet au Poivre and the Berkshire Pork Chop. Both were excellent, tender and exploding with flavor. A word of warning. They make their cocktails strong. When "Bourbons" is part of your restaurant's... More

Might this be the Mecca of Bourbon? Arguably so. With well over a 100 types of bourbon, including some rarer reserves, any non-super-sophisticated bourbon connoisseur is well advised to do their research about types of Bourbons before arriving. Doing so will best allow you to plan your meal and match your bourbon to your meal, or might I suggest match... More
