Confusing

I'll admit. I like a cool dive. And I'm okay with a little chaos once in a while. My husband step son and I decided to try this place based on the "Louisville chef's" feature on tv. I was expecting much more. Upon entering it was confusing about where to sit. We stood and looked around before... read more

I have always loved going to the Monkey's Wrench for lunch or dinner. I had Brunch there for the first time three weeks ago. I must say, I had a blast! I went with four other people. We all enjoyed the live music, the Bloody Mary Do-It-Yourself -Bar and the food! Denny was the best! Ask for him to make... More

I’m only speaking to Sunday brunch at the Monkey Wrench The Monkey Wrench is a bar; a place where at night people gather to drink, party and listen to live music. On Sunday they serve a tasty line up of Bluegrass country inspired entrees; delicious I might add. Its funny when you read the reviews most people have the same... More

Went here with friends of my son for dinner and it was a good fine. They had buffalo meatloaf and mutton doe very nicely with great sauce. Lots of draft beers at reasonable prices, same for bourbon. A jazz trio started playing midway through dinner and they were very good. Also loved the mural of Hunter S. Thompson on one... More

The meat plate with meatloaf, mutton, and a humongous fried chicken breast was ample for two to share. But I would like to try a whole order of mutton. Would have been nice to have a vegetable side, as the veggie entree was kind of heavy alongside all that meat. Second floor deck is a throwback to smoke-full days. Okay... More

Had a couple of great meals and experiences this past weekend at the Monkey Wrench. Awesome bourbon selection for real people (i.e. no $50 shots of Pappy), very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Top that off with great food, what's not to like. I had the meat sampler and side of ridiculously good mac 'n cheese. My wife had the fried... More

This past weekend we went home for my high school reunion and my husband picked this place out for Sunday brunch because they have a BLOODY MARY BAR. We got there right when they opened at 10am and pretty much had the place to ourselves, until others started waking up and rolling in. I ordered the quiche, many ordered their... More

This place has a really cool, laid-back, hipsterish vibe. The cocktail selection is very good and drinks are amazing. The food menu is very impressive as well and good is delicious. The bartenders are very friendly. So if you want a chill nice out over great drinks, go to Monkey Wrench. Also, it's really enjoyable to sit on their rooftop... More

Our group of 7 stopped by the Monkey Wrench on a nice late spring evening. We sat outside on the upper deck close to the bar. The place was hopping during World Cup play, so we enjoyed many people sporting their favorite country's colors. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. There was plenty of options on the menu, and a... More
