Recommended by a friend as one of the best in Louisville, and it didn't disappoint. Was dining alone at the bar, and lucky enough to have the executive chef come by and personally recommend items. Awesome!

We recently went with a large group to celebrate a graduation, and everything was great. We added several people to our reservation at the last minute, and the staff was able to accommodate us. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered, and the filet I had was possibly the most delicious and tender I've ever eaten.
Our table was not ready although we had a reservations. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours. When went went to be seated there were not enough chairs. They added chairs and set ups and crammed us in. Granted it was Derby night but they should have been better prepared. The menu due to Derby was limited. The food was...

Never expected while visiting Louisville to find an Italian restaurant as good as any in NY. Our waiter Craig was a pleasure. Ordered baked clams and loved them. My husband tests a restaurant by ordering veal and he was NOT disappointed. I ordered chicken marsala and it was tasty. Wine was good too. The prices were also NY so we...

Excellent experience with the staff and the food. The open concept room with half walls between the bar and the dining area allowed us to hear the live jazz being played in the bar while still giving separation. Background noise in the dining area was at a minimum which is great for people who can't hear very well in crowds....

Went for 502 Restaurant week and had the best time, some of us and a per selected menu for the special event and some of us had the regular menu and both menus were delicious. From the Sea Bass, to the Mussels the food was divine. Chef Josh is an amazing Chef and a true believer of farm to table...

Have eaten hear twice on visits to see our daugher in Louisville in the last couple of months. The food is delicious. Chef Moore goes above and beyond to satisfy dietary needs. The desserts are a work of art. The atmosphere is upscale, but very relaxed.
Wasn't my favorite place. Food was okay, maybe we caught the servers on a bad night. Will try again.
Enjoyed an evening with out-of-town friends. Wanted to take them somewhere good but comfortable. Volare fills the bill on that score. Its location on Louisville's Frankfort Avenue dining and shopping scene is a nice way to spend time.
The food is very good but, not exceptional. The decor is a pleasant suggestion of Italy with a very good wait staff,...

Volare-Good Italian fare made great by our server, Michael. We have eaten here before and been "nonplussed" Good food, but have never felt very welcome. Almost as if we have dropped in unexpectedly. Today however, Michael went a long way in changing that. Front of house, still not as warm as they should be. Empty resturant, got there at open...
