Hands down the best place I've tried in Louisville! Took my wife here for her birthday, and what a wonderful experience! Food, service, and atmosphere all top notch. Would highly recommend!

My partner and I look forward to dining at Jack Fry's every year when we are in town for a week to grade the AP exam. This past week we enjoyed three exquisite dinners. Yes, within one week. Why go anywhere else? The food and wine are simply superb. We highly recommend a Cabernet Franc called The Scrapper. The filet... More

We had no reservations and ended up here because we were in the neighborhood and TripAdvisor had such good things to say. We were treated quite well for being walk-ins, had no wait, and the best meal I've eaten in a long time. Excellent service, too.

Over the years I have had lunch at Jack Frys maybe close to 50 times. I have never had a good meal; it has always been great! I generally go with the specials; if sold out I go with the fish dishes. Living on the coast of South Carolina we eat a variety of fish and have some great eateries-... More

Louisville is one of the hidden gourmet gems in the country and this is definitely one of my all time favorite restaurants. Food and service is top-notch. It is a dining experience to be savored and repeated. It is perfect for a business dinner or for a couple. Make reservations as it is often impossible to get in. One word... More

We were leaving Churchill Downs looking for lunch. Oh my, Jack Frys is fantastic little restaurant. My wife had the lunch special trout with trimmings, awesome! I had salmon off the lunch menu and it was amazing! Service was really, really good. The restaurant is small not tiny and very very clean. Do yourself a favor when in Louisville and... More

My husband and I were lucky to get a seating at 6.15pm on Sunday night - the place was packed. Yet, it wasn't loud (pleasant surprise!) - we love the places where you can have a conversation and not have a sore throat afterward. We spit a beet salad to start and it was just the right size, and delicious.... More

Was led here by locals and they were right. Comfortable, unpretentious, old school bar/restaurant with great drinks (Old Fashions!) and great food (everyone agreed my hamburger was one of the best ever). One of my top memories of Louisville. Thanks.

Jack Frys is so much more than great food. When you're lucky enough to get a reservation here you get the full Louisville experience; great food, great company, great cocktails, and great service just to name a few of the wonderful things about this spot. The ambiance is lively, darkish and fun. You'll neverleave without a smile on your face and... More
