Very good and excellant service

Got there at 11 AM and were seated quickly. Server asked for drinks the place is very beautiful. Lunch menu is not extensive, I order the Fry Burger, with Steak Frys Blue Stilton, med well and it was excellent. Two in party ordered the sausage/mashed potatos and all three had salads. Parking was really difficult - they have a small parking lot located by the building but otherwise it is street parking. It took us a while to find something nearby. The restaurant is small and was crowded even on a Monday night. The staff were all nice. Drinks were okay but not great. That being said - everything else was... More

Just had lunch. The ambiance is jazzy. I really really enjoyed myself. The service was spot on. I'm told they often have a jazz band in the evenings. I definitely want to go back some time just for that because the food was awesome. And considering Jack Frys is a 5 star restaurant I thought the prices were reasonable too.... More

A few weeks ago, my wife and I decided to try Jack Fry's for lunch. It had been awhile since we had dined there. We had received some gift certificates some years back but we were never able to use them probably due to our inability to reserve a few days in advance. The restaurant was crowded as usual and... I'm visiting Louisville from England and was recommended to go here. Because of the snow not many places were open. We made a reservation and the place was packed when we arrived! I had the pork chop which was gorgeous and a large portion. We shared the brownie with bacon for dessert. I'd never had bacon on a sweet before... More

first time visit at this charming restaurant reminiscent of an era gone by. Been a landmark in the downtown area for many years. Walls adorned with black and white photos from an era past. Our waitress, Theresa, was knowledgeable, attentive, knew the history to share with us and timed her visits to the table perfectly. The crab cakes were excellent, as... More

Jack Fry's has been on my bucket list for many years. This past weekend, I made my first visit. The restaurant is much smaller than I expected--essentially two rooms with seating for about 90 individuals total. It is no wonder that tables are hard to come by and reservations are a must. However, what Jack Fry's lacks in size, it... More

Jack's is the place to dine in Louisville, especially if you only have one night. Food and service are top-notch professional. Excellent selection (and good serving) of top-shelf local bourbons. All food choices are spectacular. They recently (a couple of years now) renovated but managed to keep the same atmosphere. Make sure you have a reservation for this popular, not-to-be-missed... We visited Jack Fry's for the first time back in mid-January for my husband's birthday. First of all, Jack Fry's wins just based on atmosphere alone. It's an extremely cozy place, especially in the middle of winter. We started with the Medjool Dates, which were sweet and delicious. There were several to a plate and I really think they're so... Another two nights in Louisville and another two dinners at Jack Fry's. The margarita made to order with Patron Silver, Cointreau, and only two hand squeezed limes on the rocks with salt was perhaps the best version except for the Ivy in Los Angeles. The shrimp and grits are the best full stop. Ordered the grouper with clams and the... More
