The classic!

There's no peer to Jack Fry's. The food is excellent and I especially recommend the shrimp and grits--i never liked grits before I moved to Kentucky and Jack Fry's changed my mind! Great salads, great steak--everything is top-notch. My only complaint is that it's noisy. Keep your party small!

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Few restaurants in Louisville can beat it. It is small and usually crowded but that means it is good.

Been going here for 20 years. Quality of food and setting remain one of the best in Louisville I have been at lunch and dinner and both menus are great

My wife and I visited Louisville for the weekend. We had dinner reservations at Jack Fry's for Friday night (13 February). When we drove by the restaurant we wondered if we had made the right decision as the building is quite old, however once inside we found the atmosphere to be just what we were looking for. The employees were... More

First, the atmosphere was delish...I prefer quaint and intimate, so this was perfect...very intimate and felt an owner's touch... Wine list was average. Waitstaff was EXCELLENT. I ordered the shrimp and grits. I am from the deep South, so am quite familiar with the dish. While the flavor was acceptable, the temperature of the dish upon arrival to my table... More

I've always wanted to dine here. It is one of the places that everyone says you must try, and they were right. As I walked through the dining, i saw a nationally known chef, two college classmates and a work associate, this was the place to be. I had a the fish sandwich which was cooked perfectly and instead of... More

I've gone in here several times over the years and it is always consistent. The food is amazing and the staff is very attentive and professional. The aisohere takes you back a little in time which feels comfortable and like home. Searing can be a little cramped but everyone is usually vet considerate of the tight space.

There is better food for the price in Louisville, The warm brie salad wasn't all that warm, the salmon would have been better grilled, the best thing I tasted was the spicy oyster appetizer, decent beer selection, this place has been here for decades, maybe they banking on their history and tradition rather than their food prep. service was spotty,...
