If you appreciate gourmet food, this is The Place

My husband and I were lucky to get a seating at 6.15pm on Sunday night - the place was packed. Yet, it wasn't loud (pleasant surprise!) - we love the places where you can have a conversation and not have a sore throat afterward. We spit a beet salad to start and it was just the right size, and... read more

Was led here by locals and they were right. Comfortable, unpretentious, old school bar/restaurant with great drinks (Old Fashions!) and great food (everyone agreed my hamburger was one of the best ever). One of my top memories of Louisville. Thanks.

Jack Frys is so much more than great food. When you're lucky enough to get a reservation here you get the full Louisville experience; great food, great company, great cocktails, and great service just to name a few of the wonderful things about this spot. The ambiance is lively, darkish and fun. You'll neverleave without a smile on your face and... More

You cannot enjoy yourself here unless you are alone and like noise. If you are with companions you will not be able to talk or hear. It detracts from the good food they offer. Even the music is drowned out. Some noise abatement procedure for the walls would help!

The food is always good. The atmosphere is that of an old bar with a restaurant added. Very noisy. Request the back and preferably a booth. If you in the front you are elbow to elbow with the next table. Great for lunch too.

Our daughter, sil and grandson were in town. Since my nephew is part of the chef team there, we gave it a try! Wonderful food, great service. Seated by window in the Highlands is always a treat. Great afternnon! Thanks JB?

Still a great place to eat but was once my all time favorite until recently food quality has dipped significantly the service is still top notch but no where near worth the price anymore , such a shame.

Met some old friends for dinner here, and it was almost perfect. Here's what was great about the place: the starters, entree, and service. There were four of us. Some of us had cocktails, and the Manhattan was particularly good. The oysters and shrimp and grits starters were surprisingly good for a landlocked restaurant (thank you UPS). Most of us... More

Jack Fry's always delivers. The cocktails, food, and desserts are excellent. We commented on how much we enjoyed the Manhattan and the waiter wrote down the recipe for us. I had the pork chop which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the fillet which was also perfect. The shrip and girts were delicious. Love the atmosphere with jazz music playing... More

I've only lived in the area for 4 months . My fiance chef and I are food lovers and in the business as well. We come to Jack Frys because we can get tasty beautifully made food. So much flavor and cooked to perfection. Rib eye's, salmon. Tried a beet salad with a goat cheese spread for starters with my... More
