We ate at Jack Fry's to celebrate my daughter & her husband's first anniversary. we started with appetizers, the special for the night deviled eggs, they were just ok, still deviled eggs, no matter what kind of fancy ingredient is added, they are not exactly my... I have been eating at Jack Fry's for twenty years and recently ate there again. It is under new ownership and has a new chef, and it is not the same place I knew. The servings were meager and the taste...just ok. I began with shrimp and grits. Three shrimp, no specific flavor. Then the stilton salad. The bitter greens,... More

Well, on a Saturday evening, my husband and I aw Jed in hoping to have dinner here, but we're told it would be a three hour wait before a tabe for two would be available unless there was a cancellation. Then we were told we could check the bar....and once we walked in, we knew we were staying! The restaurant... More

Ever wanted that old school, eclectic photos on the wall and well worn booths and tables but wanted trendy dishes and a great wine list? Go to Jack Fry's. Get the heirloom tomato salad and scallops or splurge and get the pasta and for goodness sake get dessert. Great customer service and atmosphere. LOVED it.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville although the noise level can be a bit high. If you are looking for a quiet, intimate setting this may not be your best bet, but, if you love great food and innovative cuisine this is it!

One of the best restaurants in Louisville! Always can count on good food and a pleasant experience there. Only problem is the limited space so I don't go very often!

Every menu item the 4 of us had was excellent. Intersting old place, noise could be a problem at times.

Jack Fry's is a must-see restaurant to visit in Louisville. The service is always charming and friendly. The food is superb. They have the best lamb chop, hands down, anywhere in North America. If you find yourself in Louisville, make sure you stop by Jack Fry's!

My husband and I were treated to dinner with friends at Jack Fry's this past weekend. They had heard it was a popular place and were eager to experience it. For starters, we had an appetizer serving of roasted quail with garlic bread pudding, fois gras, with a currant sauce that was okay. I ordered the warm brie salad which... More

We came as a large group and took 2 tables next to each other. Appetizers were served to share: Shrimp & Grits (nice, $12) Agnolotti (ok, $12) Spicy Fried Oysters ($12), Scallops ($16) - both excellent The Warm Brie Salad ($7) came as described (bibb lettuce, toasted almonds) but did not have have much structure or taste to it. Would... More
