Cozy atmosphere, great menu, and wonderful music performed by Steve Crews each weekend, in e eclectic Highlands area of Bardstown Road.

Jack Fry's is so popular that you need to reserve in advance. Even getting a seat at the bar could be a challenge. But it is worth it as the food and service are exquisite.

I've been lucky enough to eat at some of the best steak restaurants in America and this is #2 overall for me. The restaurant as a classic "Mad Men" look with a piano player who's not over whelming so you can still hold a conversation. The steak is along with the sides are nothing short of great! The staff is... More

I'm not a frequent flyer when it comes to fine dining, so I try to shoot for a sure bet. We could not have been more pleased with our selection after celebrating our first anniversary at Jack Fry's. We started the evening with the duck confit, and were truly excited for the rest of the evening after the first bite.... More

Friday evening was my first time at your restaurant. The food was way overpriced and the food was average. I would have thought paying 40.00 for the beef filet (which wasn't tender and juicy like they say) you would have gotten at least one side order with it. I didn't realize you had to pay separate for each side. Anyways... More

It may be tradition, it may be thought to be atmospheric, but music, live or dead, in a restaurant is an intrusion. I go to a restaurant to eat good food, drink nice wine, talk or even eat & drink in silence. I do not go for live piano music. Jack Fry's is already noisy, more clatter in uncalled for.... More

One of my favorite places in Louisville but can get loud and crowded on weekends. The food and service are always excellent. I prefer the booths and go during the week for little quieter night Tables are very close in the front room and i feel a little left out in the back room Shrimp and grits are excellent, pork... More

Ate at Jack Fry's for the first time in a while. You forget how good it is. Spicy Fried Oysters appetizer is the best in town. Served over Creamy Grits with country ham, it's to die for. I had the Pork Wellington, a new menu addition, and loved it. My wife and a friends had the Lobster Carbonara and a... More

I ate here tonight and had the grits and salad. Prices were somewhat elevated but I knew that in advance. The food was tasty. I have no complaints and will probably go back in the next 4-8 weeks. This is a small upscale restaurant. If you purchase an entree, expect to pay between $25-$40 for the entree, alone. But the... More

Very good food & drinks... This is a local favorite. They could use more vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend & reservations are a good idea.
