We visited here on our trip to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby. We were seated right away and had access to the regular menu which wasn't the case in other restaurants we visited on this trip. I had the house made linguini which I enjoyed and my wife had the flank steak, both were very good. We found this restaurant... More

There are so many unique restaurants in Louisville that sometimes you don't get to one like Palermo just because it doesn't bubble up to the top but last night my friend suggested it and we went. My wife is not a big meat eater, so that's one reason it's been a while; however, they have lots of non-meat dishes so... More

What other reviewers call cozy strikes us as somewhat cramped. With meat dishes served on little grills, the 2-top tables are hard to manage, space-wise. The environment is busy but pleasant. With respect to food and drink, at our most recent visit, two pieces of lomo (steak) ordered to the same degree of doneness (medium) arrived at the table together... More

My wife and I shared an appetizer, 2 entrees, bottle of wine, dessert for under $100. Argentina menu that features beer but even more. Service was fabulous.

We eat here regularly. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Reservations are necessary. This is the only authentic Argentine cuisine available in Louisville, and it is really tasty. The quality is consistently good and the service is excellent.

This is a great Restaurant for a cozy date night. Food is great and moderate pricing. I was on a date and was served at the bar and our bartender was friendly, and gave us advice on what to choose, and she was right !! If you are looking for low key, great food, reasonable price, and trying to impress... More

I hosted a group of 17 for a business dinner recently...wanted to go somewhere with a unique atmosphere and menu. They did not disappoint! I had guests from NY and LA, and they commented this was one of the best restaurants they had ever been to!! The steaks are awesome, and the wine selection well priced.

My wife and I were able to spend two weeks in Argentina in 2007. It is a country of delicious meats (beef and lamb in particular) and wonderful amalgam of German, Italian, English, and other cuisines. Because of our experience in Argentina, we had very high expectations for our first visit to Palermo Viejo several years ago. We were not... More

Great local restaurant with good variety of meat dishes and great sangria. Small amount of seating, would make reservations

Went on a Sat. night without reservation but was there very early (5 p.m.). Think it got pretty crowded later so maybe reservations would be smart. I ordered the Lomo (beef tenderloin) medium rare at it was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. The romaine lettuce, hearts of palm and tomato salad had a delicate vinegarette that wasn't overpowering.... More
