The experience for me started with the call to ask for directions. Wonderful and friendly person on the other end. Parking is easy with options in the back Loved the open grill area where you can see the chef. The guys in the kitchen friendly smiling and having a good time. That translates to the food Prevoleta prevoleta prevoleta. Love... More

The Calamare are wonderful and make a great appetizer for two. The wine menu lists some of Argentine Malbecs that are wonderful--such as the Colome. The steaks are wonderfully prepared and cooked precisely as asked by Frank, the owner and grillmaster. The Papas Provencial are tasty French Fries. It makes for a wonderful evening. If you plan to go, get... More

Visited with my wife on a Saturday night during Bardstown's Christmas Glow celebration. The restaurant was not too busy, our reservations were fro 6pm... Tip: If it's cold, don't let them seat you near the door, the constant opening/closing got a little chilly...or maybe sit to the left or right of the front door to avoid the draft... The place... We had dinner and drinks here on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We had a carafe of red wine Sangria that was fantastic. They mix it fresh to order and much to my pleasant surprise, it had a kick. I had a vegetarian pasta dish with red sauce and it was tasty! The food and service were good. This place was... More

My girlfriend and I went to Palermo tonight. Not only was the food over cooked and bland, the server was blanantly rude. When she asked "how was the food", I replied it was "ok" in a very non-offensive way (I could have told her truth...a chicken basket from Dairy Queen was better). She said "just ok"?! She then said "well... More

Got the recommendation from our ziplining tour guides! The best advice and steak ever! Gotta try the entree with the sample of grilled meats! Delicious! Loved it!!!

The meat is excellent but the surprise is the large number of vegetarian dishes. We took friends and the wife was a vegetarian. She thought it had great choices for her. Us meatatarians love the place.

The brick walls welcome you like an old friend to a place where the music complements the surroundings rather than overcomes them. The service is quick, the menu is plentiful, and the prices are very reasonable. From the appetizers to the main course this is as authentic as it gets. Palermo Viejo introduces you to the meats and dishes of... More

My wife and I had Valentines day dinner there earlier this month. It was our first time and we were excited to check off another Bardstown Rd. restaurant off of our "list". The dining room is small and the tables are packed close together but we never really felt cramped. We ordered a bottle of wine (moderately priced at $30)... More
