My husband and I went here for dinner with another couple. The complimentary pita bread with greens and feta was very refreshing. The stuffed grape leaves were delicious. I ordered the chicken kabob, and my husband ordered the chicken and mushroom dish. The portions are big, so you'll definitely need a box. I'd like to go back and try their... More

Went for dinner on a Tuesday night. I was courteously greeted and promptly seated. A complimentary appetizer composed of 4 quarters of deliciously warm pita bread along with a plateful off different fresh herbs and a block of white savory cheese. The Persian Tea was exquisite in flavor and being a tea lover, I'd go back to Saffron's just to... More

Try the gormazabzi or the geimeh (split pea stew). Both were fantastic. Ambience is nice and service was stellar!

Since I have moved to Louisville, I have had a craving to try new and exotic cuisines. When I saw this restaurant online and read the menu, I was very excited. However, when I got there, my expectations slowly started lowering. It wasn't the service as much as the food that disappointed me. I had an excellent waiter who had... More

I had the braised Lamb (Mahicheh). It was falling of the bone delicious. It was delicately spiced in a tomato sauce and was served over rice and had vegetables with it. I also ordered grape leaves and hummous to go. They were also good, but not as much of a standout as the lunch. Many of the same dishes are... More

I've enjoyed Saffron's for years. I mostly go for the Kubideh (Beef kabob), but occasionally I'll spring for the rack of Lamb because it's one of the few places I really enjoy it. Service is always good, with a lovely atmosphere.

Try the rack of lamb. It is off the menu but a really nice plate with salad, rice, and vegetables. The service was really good. Very attentive. The seasoning on the lamb was not what I am used to but was really very good. Clean, nice interior. It wasn't very busy on the night I was there.

Trying something new in a city we frequent is always risky. Not this time - Saffron's was a pleasant surprise. Jennifer was our server and she took great care of us. Nice beer & win offering. The half duck special in Grand Marnier Sauce was so yummy with the basmati rice. They have scallops on the menu as part of... More
