I had the braised Lamb (Mahicheh). It was falling of the bone delicious. It was delicately spiced in a tomato sauce and was served over rice and had vegetables with it. I also ordered grape leaves and hummous to go. They were also good, but not as much of a standout as the lunch. Many of the same dishes are... More

I've enjoyed Saffron's for years. I mostly go for the Kubideh (Beef kabob), but occasionally I'll spring for the rack of Lamb because it's one of the few places I really enjoy it. Service is always good, with a lovely atmosphere.

Try the rack of lamb. It is off the menu but a really nice plate with salad, rice, and vegetables. The service was really good. Very attentive. The seasoning on the lamb was not what I am used to but was really very good. Clean, nice interior. It wasn't very busy on the night I was there.

Trying something new in a city we frequent is always risky. Not this time - Saffron's was a pleasant surprise. Jennifer was our server and she took great care of us. Nice beer & win offering. The half duck special in Grand Marnier Sauce was so yummy with the basmati rice. They have scallops on the menu as part of... More

The food the very good. Love their Halim Bademjan. Decently priced. I do not know about their meat options but they have some nice veggie options.

This restaurant happened to be around the block from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. Persian food is tasty and fresh with subtle spices and this place did a very good job. We ordered a kebab dish and a vegetable dish. I didn't write down the names so I can't tell you exactly but the kebab... More

It's been a long time since I visited Saffron's but I still dream about it :) They serve this lamb chop with a special dry rub that just makes my mouth water thinking about it. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner. Enjoy!

This was a pleasant surprise in Louisville downtown. We were greeted with a very friendly and professional server who was well versed in Persian cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious with big serving portions though. We tried the "chello kabob" and chicken kabob and both were awesome. We also tried the eggplant appetizer which was also pretty good. Although we... More
